Tom Slighter- Portland

Well i just finished doing a midterm paper here at Michigan State and I figured you guys would love to know It took me so long because I spent more time reading Tour Talk than writing.

Just took a look at "that other piss poor excuse for a golf forum" and those guys have no idea about the 907's or the new Cobra driver. And everyone there is like when will we have pics of the new vokeys? HAHA, when will those poor shlups see the light, and everything holy known as GOLFWRX!

Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the Slighter Portland, and and comparison to a Cameron Newport. Any help is appreciated as I am thinking of getting myself one for christmas, with the parents money. And again, I love being part of this family of hoes.

I hope you get good answers to your question, but I just wanted to make sure that you, as a fellow GOLF WRXer, make sure that MSU hires a good football coach. Don't settle for anything less! Played College Fields a couple weeks ago--nice track.

The State News at school had an article wriiten by Tom Izzo and he was talking about how he didnt know where the stuff about Mooch not wanting to coach came from and that they have been talking a little. I would love to see Mooch at such a fine school, he wouldnt look as good in colors other than green and white. GO STATE!

I love my Portland. Tom makes great putters whatever you choose, but the Portland isn't too big or small. It's very well balanced and has a nice feel and sound.

The Portland is a great putter. If you take a look at some pics on the website or on here even... you will see the bumpers on the back are more square than a Newport.

Hey,

Take it from a fellow Spartan, the Slighter Portland is an excellent putter. I have one of the 18 prototypes and I think the new changes made are all improvements. You cannot go wrong with a Slighter.

Great balance, weight and feel.

I shot a 74 at the new College Fields first time out, draining a couple of 70ft bombs with it. Granted, any putt of that length is a lot of luck. But what a great memory to have.

Bring on College Basketball season!!

I have a Slighter Portland. The lines are clean and it is well balanced. Tom is great to work with. I also have a Tacoma that Tom made for me. I would highly recommend getting a putter from Tom, because he is will build your putter to whatever specs you want them. You will not be disappointed.
