34 in vs a 35 in. putter

does it make alot of differance?

I have 35 in. futura and will be getting a 34 in. YES! Tracy, does one inch make that much of a differance? and if it does, what will it do?

A proper putter length will allow your arms to hang freely and your eyes to be properly positioned over the ball. There is a chart I saw, but I cannot find right now that listed the proper putter length based on measurement from first crease at your wrist to the floor. Perhaps some of the other forum members have more specifics on determining proper putter length.

To me it's alwways been personall preference on the length. Find a length I am comfortable with for that putter than adjust the lie as needed. I know of that chart you are talking about. Trying to find it right now. I know it's got to be on one of my hard drives. LOL

Shouldn't cost hardly anything. If you lived close to me, I'd do it for free. All the clubfitterhas to do is pull te grip and add a extension. Can reuse the same grip. Don't let him givce you any BS about having to cutt the grip. If he even mentions it, walk out. If you ca't tell. I am the only one that does work on my clubs. LOL

Click on Custom Fitting, then web Fit, then putter. It has you enter your specs, and will tell you what Length and Lie angle you need. From what they show 35 is standard and work your way from there.

I've been worrying about my putter length for a while - mine is 35" - and a buddy said 35" was far too long!!!

 

I'm 6ft 1" so that had put my mind at rest! Lesson learnt - stop listening to golfing buddies!!!

Remember...Only listen to your golf buddes when they are winning. LOL If it works, it works. LOL As staed earlier ( I think I said it) These charts by no mean are definitive. Just suggestions as far as I am concerned.
