I do like the look of most of the CT's ive seen but i must say that imo that thing is ugly. I base my opinion on the amount of random stampings and not liking the modified head shape and neck design. I do realize that I am in the vast minority here.

That's about a $5,000-5,500 dollar putter IMHO.

Nah..you're not alone. It's a nice puttter but the stampings are a tad too busy for my taste as well. I was trying to figure out which stamp that putter lacked. It's got the snow, CT, 350, red dot, JAT, GSS, crown, born on date, initials. Probably the only thing missing is a pooping bull dog! ;)

 

Chris, you're right though, that putter is worth a lot of dollars on the "whole" or it. The seller is quite well known and will have to probably relist this a few times to get the right buyer.

Personally, Any scotty that comes my way i'll take.. If somebody were to come up to me and say heres a broken scotty for $3 bucks i wouldnt think twice of getting it, Theres no bad looking scotty, period.

Can't believe no one bid on that with astarting bid of 4,500 being a CS and GSS. Agree the stampins don't really flow but who cares that thing is a putt making machine.

ok, i must be missing something. Why in the world are some scotty putters costing so much? I have a newport. It was i think ~225 usd$. It is a nice putter. But how in the world/ or rather, why in the world... are there scotty putters that cost 10x that? or are valued at 10x that? What am i missing? I can't believe that an off-the-shelf putter from anyone is worth more than a custom fit one by someone else. In fact i'm on the verge of selling it and getting a tom slighter putter instead, and that is just from what i've read for making a custom one on line!!!!! Last thing, that ebay listing the dude wants 40$ to send a putter ups,... if you pay 4G's for a putter, he should ship for free. jeez, please enlighten me... peter

UMM.. Well Here's a few reasons....

 

1) That ones not an off the rack. It's the top of the line Cameron GSS. Kinda like comparing a geo metro to a ferrari

 

2) The 10,000 dollar ones are all handmades. Also Garage and Grafitti putters.

 

 

Now when you consider the Insurance he is going to have to pay thru UPS, then 40 sounds cheap to me. Also, those buying the top of the line Camerons aren't going to whine about 40 dollar shipping.

 

It's all about supply and demand. Scotty knows there's a demand for them. I've seen more putters of his sell in the $6,000- $9,000.00 dollar range than I can count.

Now all this being said.....I would never spend that much. LOL $2,000.00 for a putter is Max or the wife would kill me.

choeppner... thanks for the clue in on that stuff.... i guess i just don't get it still, but my income isn't at that level to buy putters over say $300 bux.... This crazy searching for the perfect putter/ cameron crazy $ stuff strikes me a lot like the tulip market in the 15th century when they were paying big bux for flowers... Humm. $500/share for google... 1000's for scotty cameron's. ... wacky....
