got a chance to hit these babies today. set up is 38" five iron d-3 dyn gold x100's. avg 5 iron distance is 205.

LOOKS: these look good to me. minimal offset for any set much less a game improvement set. you can see the back of the 3 iron at address but it is not bad at all, actually gives me confidence that it will get up easy (my 2 iron is a 2002 big bertha so i am used to seeing the back of the club at address). topline is thicker than on pro combo tour's but not bad at all. overall the club has a good shape at address with a standard round toe shape. short irons look awesome for forgiving irons

FEEL: these feel great. solid, not clicky at all and best of all when you miss it you can feel where you missed it but you get good results. not butter soft but definitely forged and a very endo feel for me.

FORGIVENESS: this is where these clubs shine. some of the most, if not the most, forgiving forged irons i have ever hit. these have a great progression of ultra forgiving in the long irons (due to undercut cavity) to forgiving yet workable in the mid and short irons. the sole is good too, not too bouncy but yet they do not dig.

BALLFLIGHT: definitely higher than most but i had my x tour 6 iron out with identical shaft and these were only very slightly higher trajectory wise. long irons are easy to elevate. these go out high but do not ballon, it was windy today and the wind hardly affected ball flight at all, really a nice high, flat ballflight.

OVERALL: these are great irons that offer forgiveness w/o a ton of offset and the ability to work the short irons somewhat. i can see why trevor immelman and others have put these into play. will they make the bag? not sure, as soon as i get something and hit it i am thinking about the next project. what i really want is an all tour callaway bag (x-tour, ft tour driver)or titleist bag, but these are so good i may end up with a mixed bag, who knows. i will keep you updated. pm or post here with any other questions
