Really? Looks good to. Wonder what the story is. Thought it was the R9 under wraps, but there is only 2 weight ports.

It kinda has the lines of a Cobra as well. It looks sweet but will probably cost quite a pretty penny. I like the plain an simple look a lot.

It's definitely a TM. You can tell by the paint and font used for the loft designation.... unless Porche Design are doing everything they can to mimic TM.

Porsche's first venture into clubs was less than stellar, but admittedly wasn't intended to establish any sort of presence in the golf industry. I suppose there are Porsche owners who need to have Porsche golf clubs to go along with their Porsche Design sunglasses.

 

Their original driver had a very cool black matte powder coated finish, but I'm not sure they sold more than a handful of them. I don't think you could get $40 for one on Ebay.

 

It would make sense for them to partner with a top brand to "co-brand", but it probably took one of their market research folks about 10 minutes to determine that most Porsche owners play TM clubs....or maybe TM was the only OEM willing to do it. Who knows?

Nice design, the face looks like it might be a little closed though if you take a look at the front hosel to face area.

Pretty self explanatory. PD Group did the design and since they do not actually manufacture anything, they asked TM to manufacture it on their behalf. Who of course is going to ask their contacts in China to actually manufacture it.

 

F.A. Porsche is pretty much retired and does not do much design work these days if any at all.

TM has been talking to BMW and Porsche over the last couple of years trying to get this in place. Remember that TM is owned by adidas which is a German company as is Porsche, so it's a perfect fit in that department. I guess it also means that all the TM execs get to drive around in Porsche's now!! Now that's a nice incentive if every there was one to do it.

I used to have a Porsche Design PD 901 which was essentially a Titleist 975D with a textured paint job (drag reduction?) and slight wind tunnel on the sole towards the heel. They had a whole line of products at one time that didn't fly to well in the states.

Porshce Design had a set of Black Chrome blades that were limited production. I have looked for a set for a long time, but no dice. Anyone have any pictures?

I like those PD Adidas shoes. I wish you could rotate the pics though. WTF is up with that???
