Is this for real? Bettinardi PGA3

I bought the putter but after looking at the pics, it doesn't match the ones on the Bettinardi website. Did I get burned on a fake?

It Looks almost exactly like the Medinah PGA 3 putter without the stampings.

$129 BIN...man if it's real you hit the jackpot. It's hard to tell from the pictures but I would of probably passed just because of the very low BIN.

it is hard to say without actually seeing it in person but it doesnt say anything in the pocket which is weird.....and at best it looks to be a raw unfinished putter head. so chances are if it is real then its "hot". but from the looks of the stuff this seller has it could be fake.

The seller didn't mention it was a bettinardi and this seller also mills his own copper putters I believe. So did he make it?

I would guess its not a real Bettinardi based on the lack of writing in the cavity, and the fact that Bettinardi isnt mentioned except in the one place. When he gets to describing the actual putter he doesnt say anything about it being a Bettinardi. It also looks a little cheapy IMO.

The putter does not look like it says Bettinardi in the pocket as they were all made with Bettinardi in the cavity. I can't tell from the pics. I would have to see it in person to see if it was the real deal.

I hope it's real as that would be an awesome find. I wish there was a better photo of the face milling, it does look honeycomb when I looked at it with magnification. Good luck!

This guy mills his own putters. Stay away if you think the are Betty's. Maybe nice but only worth what somone is willing to pay. Again he doesnt say anything about being a Bettinardi so that shoud tell you its not.

I emailed with the seller and decided to back out. He was very understanding and had no problems with my decision. Something just didn't feel right to me.

 

I asked him if he made it and his answer was no.

 

It's just not the right time to take a chance on something, plus trying to save up some cash for the wife's christmas present.

The PGA collectible series was made in 2001. In 1999, RJB was still doing to Tour Classic series. I've also never seen a carbon steel Bettinardi putter in a raw finish. They were all either plated or Black Ox finished.
