2012 Yamaha V forged irons???

Anyone gaming the V forged?? I'm having a hard time deciding if I should buy the 2012 Yamaha V forged, 2011 Onoff Forged or Titleist Vg3's. Which irons do you prefer and what are the differences between the three?? Your help and feedback greatly appreciated.

I have a set of Miura Tournament blades, beautiful set of irons but looking for other JDM options..

Onoff and VG3s are point and shoot and forgiving, I have not hit the latest Yamaha's, the 2010s are nice though.

I have not hit the Yamaha's but many people speak highly of them. How about the new Akira blade?

Just received the irons this week and here is my assessment from the range today. The Yamaha's just scream quality and the milled x faced definitely gives the irons some character. Ball flight on the Yamaha's are mid to high and easy to control, mishits are crazy forgiving, the ball just goes even if you mishit shots from the toe or heel. The Yamaha's are uberly soft compared to the Miuras, Yammie's feel like a soft marshmallow when struck perfectly, Miura's have more of a dense feeling and imo feel more solid, . I am more use to the Miura's denseness and will see how the Yamaha's softness compare after a few rounds. Overall, great set of irons and cant wait to try the irons on the course and will be back with more of an in depth review.

hmmmmmmmmmm. not the ideal response.
they re NOTHING alike to the models OP asked about.


onoff are ver ysoft, the yamaha (non tour) are prob a little easier. and the new VG3s look good but i feel they may be a bit frial.
on off or yamaha will see u good , the yamaha are prob a little easier all round

id choose the yamah then onoff then the VG3 in order
get the right shafts , a vital ingredient to iron longevity and happiness.

modus 3 shud see u a happy camper.
