Which shaft will launch higher, spin less, and feel less boardy for a 96 MPH swing?

a softer tip or low kick will tend to launch higher but the mid sections will tend to be more moderate or stiffer than low or mid lauch shafts. some of the boardy feeling can come from low torque or twist which can be more consistant for aggresive swings. i would say 3.0 or less. but the overall flex combined with your swing speed can cause the feeling of boardiness.

But all in all there are so many factors. like how often do you repeat the same swing. how do you move your hips, your tempo, how much you hinge and how you release your hands, ball position in stance, how high or low you tee it up; the sum of all parts can change attack angle, spin and ball flight. Then theres also loft which is major ball flight affector. you can choose 8.5 or 10.5.

good luck on finding the right shaft. you never really know until you put swings on the club at the range or course and tinker with tee height. atleast thats MHO. and even then.

For instance i bought this older mizzy 3 wood and took it to the range and hated it. had a half inch cut off and again hated it. cut another half inch and hated it. played with some lead tape and hated it.

Then weeks later i tryed it on the range for a few swings for curious sake and it just bored long and straight.

Then played a round 2 days later and pulled it out on the first tee reluctantly, but it was a new coarse with a super narrow fairway. Well what do you know...... i striped it 250+. later that round i came to a blind dog leg left tee shot. pulled it again and smoked a baby draw around the corner dead nuts. one more tee shot on another super narrow fairway comin down the back 9 and again stiped it 250+. mind you this a club i absolutely hated for the first 25 swings. i duffed it, muffed it, and super duck hooked it to no where, i just learned realistically you could learn to hit anything.

Friggen Jamie sadlowski can hit a putter 300 yards off a tee. i saw that on youtube with gary mcord. you know that should tell us? or how about Jack Nicklaus hit consistantly over 300 with a persimmons driver. Better yet, another persimmon drive in 1974, MIke austin at the ripe age of 64 years old hit the longest drive in pga competition in a senior open for a whopping 515 yards.

If you are looking for a lighter weight shaft with mid-high launch and controlled spin you should consider the new AXE XCaliber Tour SL. I have not played the Fubuki so I can't comment on it but I play the XCon 5 in a SF TP and I have just put the Tour SL into a G20 and the stand out quality is the feel of the shaft. It makes the XCon 5 feel harsh in comparison.
