The Pennsylvania Golf Association

Hey, does anyone here on GolfWRX play in The Pennsylvania Golf Association?

I am thinking about joining for 2013 and was looking for any insight as to whether or not it's a good program.

Thanks for any input and if you're not familiar with it PM for their website. I'm not sure I'd be allowed to post it on here.

Not sure I understand the question or problem. PGA is the statewide (commonwealth) golf association for PA and conducts several statewide tournaments. See here: http://www.pagolf.org/default.asp

There are links on the site to the other regional golf associations, including Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP), Western Penn Golf Asso and others. GAP and PGA are in the same office and have the same executive director.

The question was; "does anyone here on GolfWRX play in The Pennsylvania Golf Association?" Their tournaments are for member only and I was wondering if anyone is a member and plays in their tournaments...

I've played in the PA Junior in Hershey the last 3-4 years, and it's always one of my favorite tournaments. I've played in the PA Am as well, and the PGA definitely knows how to put together a great tournament!

And what does tihis link at the website say clearly? http://www.pagolf.org/faq.asp?id=10
So, for example, if my club is a member of the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP), I can play in GAP and PA Golf Asso tournaments. Wasn't that easy? Geez, if you just click your mouse a couple of times....

I am not asking what clubs, or who can play in their tournaments. I appreciate the help you think I need, but I am simply asking; if anyone on here(GolfWRX) is a member and plays in their tournaments. The links you provided do not answer if any fellow GolfWRX'ers play in their tournaments.
But thanks anyways.

I may be joining CNGC, if so I will be there in mid August.
Really? They're less than 5 minutes from me. I was considering joining them or Talamore.
My job got crazy busy in the past 4 weeks so decided to go with another club. I could not justify paying the bond and dues for CNGC if I only get to use it 25 or less times. Let me say, the CNGC is gorgeous and would consider joining them if I am still in the area and my job was not taking up the majority of my time.

Considering that with a few great clubs in the area running discounts for sub 35 year olds it made me think I should join another club.

If you have the free time and the price tag is within your budget, go for it. Their customer service was amazing.

Yea, Talamore has a nice discount for <35 year olds which would be nice for me. I have a social membership this year for them, so I'll be playing Talamore twice and Applecross twice.

I'm still a little mind-boggled about CNGC. I guess simply driving by it doesn't do it justice. The course definitely looks very well maintained on season, but I guess I'll have to play it to believe it. I never really thought a course amidst an office complex could be that great.

I'll need to see if I can meet a member or something to get on, they were asking for >$100 to play a trial round.

So did any of you end up playing in any Penn Golf events? I've been playing WPGA and PGA events for years, the Tri-State Pga has some good ones to play in as well. All 3 of those groups events are steps up from playing in stuff at your home course, so if you really want to compete a little bit, get at them.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
