Hehehe....new toy came today......9064ld at 6.1* 2 degrees open with a ust v2 ld-2 at 47.75".....been a while since ive swung a proper ld club but i averaged 378 total yards and my longest was 393 yards on trackman. Been gaming a 910 d3 7.5 with a bimatrix shaft at 45" averaging 338 on course. Couldnt help it but post on how excited i was....no aspirations of competing...just a toy......seeing a ball in the air that long is hilarious

let me save the group some time:

"not-so-passive brag"
"need screenshot of trackman or it didn't happen"
"post a video of your swing"

and so forth.

from me, i'd like to say, that's awesome. congrats on your new toy! enjoy it and keep us updated if you do enter any LD competitions. good luck! :D

also, any pics of the club itself? thanks.

Dunno.....they really are a different beast....especially how hard the ld shafts kick..........the v2 ld that is in mine isnt terrible but the harrison eclipse ld i had in;: a former club was so smooth loading and kicked like a mule through the ball. The swing and ball positions are way different than when im playing a round as well. I.e. when i drive with my 910 i use a normal heighted tee and the ball is off my left big toe. With my ld setup i use a 4" zero friction tee and it is around 6" outside of my lead foot and i have a touch more tilt away from the ball. Having a positive angle of attack is the key to hitting it deep off the tee box with any driver imo.....but that doesnt mean flipping through impact. Having a positive aoa i have seen some balls even with my 910 be as low spinning as the 1400 rpm range.......carry forever!

It seems like it really has to be a fast body move as opposed to fast hands to get spin numbers that low. I find it very difficult not to flip when I go at it really hard. I may get 8mph more SS but because of the flip loft increases and my spin numbers jump to the mid 3000's.

Solidarity of the strike with an upward aoa and a really low loft off a giant 4" tee really does help.......it is my 3rd 9064 head.....ive never seen anything as low spin as this head. Lowest playing combo i had was a 9064 6 degree with an oban devotion 6 flex at 45"......1360 rpm of backspin.....5.1 degrees upward aoa.....ridiculous.......and the flip will actually slow down your ss

You know whit those numbers why not give long drive a go, if you increased those numbers a bit you could really make some noise in LD, in the finals last year in the Remax world long drive championship, the winner Carl wolter hit his biggest ball with 138 club head speed. You never know how you stack up against the competition unless you try. If you don't want to, still go out and try a qualifier next year, do it for the short hitters out there. Lol

just not focused on it right now. focused more on improving my game over the next year to have a legitimate chance at q school. I bought the club for the head itself.....it will end up being dismantled....but it is gonna be a toy for a bit just to piss off my course superintendent.

A couple....no cut made....played a lot of sectional pga stuff.....did ok...first year with that stuff. Played as an amateur, was a lot of fun. Needed to know what it was all about so i could focus my practice time properly
