if you play off the back tees be sure to have your "A" game with you.

The first tee is played off the practice putting green, which makes for a little intimidating start..

From that point on it gets progressivley more difficult.. Glad I played it once though

It sure is both tough and demanding but enjoyable none the less.

I've played there a few times and it's the hardest course I've ever played. I'm around a 12 handicap and struggle to break 100 there. The first time we played there it was from the tips and it was brutal. It's a memorable course, just keep in mind that it's TOUGH. As the starter told us last time we were out there, "Try not to let it beat you up too bad."

Damn that was a tough course. I will say that you have to play from the proper tees. Played from blues and it was very challenging. Easy to get yourself into trouble, but very fair. Definitely think I'd improve going around it a few more times though. Unbelievable shape for December as well

I'd put it under the "tough, but fair" category, in that it rewards good shots and punishes bad ones. I played there from the tips last March off about a 1 handicap, and I played my socks off to shoot 82!

It is a beast...it beat me up too. Course was in awesome shape in January when I played it a couple years ago.

Played it yesterday for the first time. It's a very nice track but the pace of play was slow. Tee time was before noon was delayed 15+ mins and it took us just over 5hrs to finish. Cart gps is a nice amenity especially if you've never played the course before but unfortunately the pin placements were 50% correct and the yardages differed from my gps.

Conditions were kinda suspect. Fairways were brownish and a few of my drives were half plugged or bounced out a couple feet from their divots. The course must get a lot of play because the fairways had a number of sand filled divots. The greens were rolling very nice and very quick.

Off the tee, bunkers are strategically placed in landing areas. But I thought the true test was the second shot. The greens require a precise iron shot. Greens are, to say the least, undulating. There really isn't a straight putt on this course. 

Overall, I was expecting more. I'm sure the course is more memorable if the conditioning were better. If you're in the area play it. Perhaps it plays better in Jan when the green fees go up another $50.

We play this ever year on my golf trip, The first year we played it (and we dont play the back) I shot a 95 and was happy. It was about a 3 club wind, I remember hitting a 6 iron from 110 and coming up short

So yeah....it pretty hard.

Scored a deal on GolfNow for tomorrow afternoon: $22.50 for 18 holes! It's going to be hot, but I couldn't pass it up. I just hope the course is easier on me than the last couple times I played it.

Will be down in the area in a few weeks and my Dad and I may venture back out to Old Corkscrew. I played it last year from the tips and was thoroughly beat down by the course. I was about a 6 at the time and had my C game and posted something in the mid-90s. Tough off the tee and very tough around the greens but a beautiful track. If we play it again this time we will be moving up a set of tees for sure. Love the course though. Nice playing in that area and not worry about hitting a house with an errant tee shot.

If you go you can get an engraved bag tag for like 10 bucks, pretty neat i thought, I got one when we played it this year, btw we played a scramble... 4 over... and of my 8 rounds down there, I was in the 70s on 6 of them, so yeah pretty hard
