LD Comp - 5 Degree KRANK on a 48" XX-Stiff and I can put it out there 300-320 pure carry.

In play of 18holes. - 9.5 Degree 975J. 345 yards, in play in Fairway after rolling 10yds down hill. 570yd Par 5. seven Iron into Green was a club short(Lost $1 on that one, haha).

My 975J is by far the best driver I hit, period. I have tried a 910 and 913 and EWW, Keep that gimicky shaft crap away from me!

Specs:
975J circa 2002, Really clean.
Paragon X-stiff 50" Tipped TWO INCHES. Somewhere between XX and XXX now.
Drilled 1.25" into the Bore-Thru and replaced the stock EI-70 shaft. I call this corking. I did not Bore-Thru fit it.

WOKE THIS DRIVER UP LIKE A HIBERNATING BEAR!!! High ball flight is GONE, high shaft kick keep it LOW and piercing with a minimalist Draw!

It was a[u][b] total lunar eclpise [/b][/u]and the gravitational force pushing down on the earth was lifted due to this fact! I hit 390+ yards NO JOKE!

321 yards Titleist 910 D2, set at c2, 8.5, Graphite Design AD-DI 6X Normal day in south Florida.

A couple of weeks ago I had 120 out on a par 5 that was 540 from the tee. I'm not sure how long the drive was but I did hit the cart path once and cut a 45* dog leg to get there. My guess is I flew it about 330 (downwind) and got to 360-380ish total to get to that position. This was a work group scramble and everyone was impressed none the less.

Tell me your secret. 5'7" 140 and swinging 132 mph? Im 6' 145 pretty athletic and flexible with a wide arc and i only average about 112 and max out at 117.

Well my 145 is pretty much all muscle. Because of my small size I've been determine to not let size set me apart from everyone else. I've played baseball for 14 years and for the last 3 years led my team in power categories. I think the swing speed and hand eye coordination from baseball has helped me with my now pretty powerful golf swing. Also I studied long drive technique and workout golf/baseball specific moves. Trust me I'm a very determined kid so if there's something I want to do, I don't let anyone tell me what my limit is because of my size!

[/quote] Froth, gotta be a misprint, right? carry with a 140 ss should be minimum 350 or so, do you have a lot of backspin, wish you all the luck in LD, but 300-320 carry in neutral conditions is not enough.

Longest drive for me was 354 yds (according to GPS). Used a Fast 12 LS 8.75* with a 45.5" Black Tie 7m3. SS is usually around 117-122 with a driver. No idea what it was with that shot. I just know I absolutely destroyed the ball on a 420-ish yd par 4. Left the approach shot really short and barely got it on the green. Pissed off that I blew a chance to score off my best drive, stood over the ball and nailed a 60 footer for 3 skins due to carryover, much to the chagrin of my buddies.. Kinda nice memory from last summer with my friends.

Don't wish me luck! Haha...I haven't competed in LD in many years and I don't swing [i]any[/i] Driver 140 on the course. That should just say "LD Comp Driver" I had a chance to hit a few Krank clubs from a friend while he was practicing, not in actual competition, I wish. 10 years ago when I was a teen and before I hurt my back I could probably do some damage with the modern LD stuff. The 5 Degree was actually too little loft for me, I couldn't get the correct launch on the ball because I don't like the super high tee, but they really work well. Ball flight was like a missle, had to have 30yds+ of roll in it. I felt I needed to list that driver separate since I have never used it but 10-15 hits on the range which is why I only listed 300-320 Carry as it went over the 300 tarp in the air. Honestly I'd never consider taking that driver on a course. I wish I could have walked out on the range and measured the total hit, but that was not in the cards. Could have been my longest hit ever with roll.

It's a rare day I carry my play driver 300yds, I generally roll 20-30yds off the driver and end up around 290-320. That Krank hit the ball considerably lower. I'd of loved to know the ball speed and spin rate.

Barely under 300. 10% change based on altitude and +/- a few yards depending on temp.

I hit some drives yesterday at Fossil Trace that were ridiculous.

It does at first. You're higher up but then if the temps are in the 60s its not much difference than sea level.

First off my swing speed is around 94mph average and my best drive so far off tee box was 288yrds total with Nike 5900 Sumo 2 driver.

Farthest drive was at my uncle's golf club about an hour north of Fresno 364. I'm sure the altitude helped, definitely wasn't used to it though since I'm from Orlando.

OK folks, over in England at Hexham golf club, where i'm head greenkeeper, i hit one at the 14th into the greenside bunker so thats deffo 395yds.Hole plays dead on 400. Also at the 8th i hit one just shy of the 8th green which is 420 to the centre. Few years back mind and i'm getting on now. 8th was with an old Killer bee, which i killed the face on, other drive was with an old Taylor 300 or 360 tour which is still sitting in my office at work. I believe these are rated on bombsquad, and boy did it fly with this club but i had the shaft a bit soft and it could go anywhere.It's the only club i ever hit a duck slice with.

I murdered my drive on the 6th hole today, 356yds measured with Skycaddy. I actually was looking for it for 2 minutes about 30yds short of where it was. Genuinely surprised at the distance this 7.5° driver is putting out, Longest drive ever recorded for me on course. 476yd Par 4, Left me with a SW that I missed right of the green because I was so amped, Lame. -_-.
