New 'Droid Golfshot 3.5 !!

Play store pushed a Golfshot update yesterday.

Lower right hand corner of opening screen says 3.5.

Loads a LOT quicker.

Interface cleaned up some.

Too cold to go out and play so perhaps someone can give some feed back on stability ?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note and the app would shut down two or three times a round. Wondering if this has been fixed.

I have a note, and got the same email regarding the new app.

Let me know ifbyou like it.... I just bought a Bushnell, but wouldn't mind trying one of the apps too

I'v been running Golfshot for 4 or 5 years. Started on my Iphone but switched to the Note so I could READ the danged thing. LOL

I really do like the interface, scoring featrues HDCP, shot tracking. The overhead views are absolutley great for doglegs (try THAT
with your Bushnell) The scorecard emailed to you after your round, and to each of your partners is really nice.

Stat tracking is top notch, GIR, FWYs hit and misses left or right. Sandys. Plus all scorecards are kept online so when I
switched to 'Droid, it was all right there accessed from my phone or laptop.

My only beef is with the deterioration in stability after I upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. Sucker would shut down every
three or four holes. Had to reboot to get it going again, froze up the phone. THen they pushed out a 'patch' about a month later
and things improved but was not totally fixed. Since then it just shuts down the app and not the phone and it only happens maybe
2 or 3 times a round.

If 3.5 fixes the shut downs, Golfshot 'Droid gets 5 stars from this user !

Is there a big difference between this and golflogix?

I guess the biggest difference would be the cost. One time cost of $30 for GolfShot when I bought it and I believe GolfLogix is $30 per year. Also, I know that GolfShot shows actual aerial imagery as opposed to the cartoon-like drawings on Logix...I like the real thing better personally.
