I just paid $850 for the 2011 with tour ad stiff, wish I had got the new model for $900.

Thanks for the tip. Is it easy to order from rakuten global? I've used sites to help with yahoo Japan, but never rakuten. I've seen some of the prices for the legacy black and it seems like a great deal.

I got a 3/4 iron here in the uk, was lucky as it was the only 3/4 from a set that was a sold as a 5-pw as the buyer didn't want the 3/4
result!!!

Bruinduke, I haven't ordered from them before but figure since it's Rakuten, I should be covered. Shipping for my set was only $60. I just got word today my set shipped (fingers crossed). My "too good to be true" alarm went up but couldn't pass up on the deal. If I get my set, contact the guy I communicated with (Ryo at Thirdwave). His English was pretty good and great to deal with.

I agree. The black jewel just doesn't do it for me. Plus the newer model is a bit to blocky for me. I just can't believe how much the price has come down in just a week. Too bad they don't price match on closeouts;)

Don't know what to make of it, it seems to good to be true, but if Tourspec dump all there stock then it makes sense, my only ? was the titleist 713 for just over the $750 mark, but then other stock is at the right price, I got my set with tour ad from a CALLAWAY stockist in Europe so I had a trail.
Don't like the the newer model, the black is the model to have, I hope so, I got two sets now!!
Have no concern if there is not a serial number on the 8 iron, I have had 3 sets now, and 2 i own at the moment , all 3 sets did not have a serial number on the 8 iron , and one set is a custom order from Callaway Europe.

That's what I'm saying! I used Thirdwave. This one looks like it's offered by Puresuto.

Basically its Japans version of amazon, so the sellers obviously sell via the site, even if Callaway asia have off loaded old stock, it would only unload on there Asia distributors, so its highly possible these are Callaway distributors or ebay style sellers using a different name via the site.

I actually didn't. I got a set from TourSpec, 5-p. still debating on Rakuten. Just worried about any fakes and don't know enought to see who is best to go with.

That may be true. but legacy black are hard to get hold of unless your a authorised distributor, I could not find much out on any of these sellers, how have they got them?

I ordered a set of 5-PW through Rakuten, & received them extremely fast which surprised me big time ??

I put every iron on my swingweight scale & found them all to be about a 1/2 point of D-2 which really impressed me, I kind of doubt I'd be seeing this kind of consistency if they were fake.

Now all I need is for spring to get here !!!

Just got an update on my set and they were just released from customs. I should be getting them on Monday.

The vendor I dealt with has all the current models including the 2013 Legacy Black irons so I assumed he got a hold of some closeouts. If they only had the closeout model, I'd be a little suspicious. Plus he originally had all three shaft offerings and not just one.

Do it Duke! Pull it!
