Agreed.....I hate Grandview....
Olde Stonewall would be my vote coming off I80....Worth the 45 minutes or so...Tam o Shanter is pretty fun too...But thats the only 2 courses I have played up that far. I live east of the city...Irwin

since you live in Irwin, , try totterridge in Greensburg, it used to be private, now public, fine, fine course

I actually worked at Grandview about 7 years ago. Players either loved it or hated it. If you don't know the course very well then I can see why you would hate it. They've added GPS to their carts this year and didn't raise the cost and I've always thought it was one of the best kept courses in the $50 range. Be prepared to lose a ball or two if you don't often find the fairway.

Shot 70 the first time I played Grandview with doubles on 3 and 4....Because I had no clue where to play the shot....
Nothing less than 75 since....

Agreed. The first few times you play Grandview, it's an adventure for sure! After about the 5th round though, it's a blast. I'm a fan of target golf, and that course has some of the toughest targets to hit!

Years ago when it first opened it was always cart path only. After about 15 heart attacks they changed their policy.

It's the course I always send the "I will never take a cart" guys to!

Our roving skins game makes that course an annual stop, I almost aced #11 last fall. (I put that on my lengthy "almost aced" list.)

#4 is the hardest on the course in my opinion. But that might be because I'm not very long off the tee, I always have to lay up.

Yep, once you get used to it you'll know exactly what club you need for every shot.

I played Totteridge for the first time last week. I can't believe I waited to so long to play there. $40 for 18, cart and a quick lunch, hard to beat that. And it has some great holes.

And grandview is a fun time if you know where your are hitting to. If not good luck! I used to hate #4 as well. I had my first birdie on that hole this afternoon (finally).

Grandview is hilarious. If your swing is even slightly off, you are going to lose a half dozen balls in those first four or five holes!
