Pro Launch Red & Blue, but for irons...

I've been trying to find a new graphite shaft for my i506s.

Some of the choices have been the Penley P2, Accuflex Evo's and the Prolaunch Blue or Red.

But I was thinking, why not the Blues in 3-6 and Reds for 7-PW?

 

Any thoughts on this combo or the shaft canadites?

 

I didn't like the UST RV2s, Accras or YS Is.

I have the Grafalloy Blue in my irons (Cleveland CG4)...I love them. Great feel...high trajectory...long. My only issue...I lose some control with these shafts. They take a little time getting used to if you have playing something like S300's.

Any thoughts on mixing the two shafts? Almost like a flighted concept.

Ok I did reshaft my Srixon 506s with Blues & Reds and I have NO regrets! Its a flighted combo set and works like a charm. The 3-6 have Blues and the 7-P has Reds.

Great on my back, picked up some 4-5 yards and great ball flights without side spin. Very straight and accurate.

I've got PL blues in my irons and 5W..I like them a lot. Now that I'm getting my swing on plane, I am actually launching my 3h in the air. Never had a reason to try the Red though (not nearly a fast enough swinger).

I'm an R flex and the Reds really play true in the irons. I know the woods play stiffer, not so much in the iron shaft. Great stuff!

By the way, you can speical order the .355 T it just takes a little longer. And these specs came from Golfsmith the Grafalloy site still doesn't show the shaft.

Probably a bit late but the graphite design GAT models (95, 105 and 115 grams respectively) are very popular for the better player looking for a similar flight to steel. I believe Hale Irwin plays these shafts on the seniors tour, and he can certainly play a bit!!
