Well guys still no sign of the correct shaft for my driver and both chad and Harry haven't returned my emails. What should I do here? Just forget it? I'm not in a big hurry to get it. I'd just like some sort of communication. And so far, since reading here in this thread that I won one, that has been almost non existent. I don't know what to do.

First off it's kind of crazy that after all this time you don't have the driver that you won. I believe all the other winners ( including myself ) have received theirs. I definitely wouldn't forget it. After all, there was a contest held with advertised prizes. You were one of the lucky winners drawn and still after a month haven't received the prize. I would stay persistent in contacting everyone associated with the contest until they get it right.

From my point of view the worse thing about this is the lack of communication. Anyone can make a mistake and forget something or ship the wrong product.

I got a box from Callaway today that contained an Aldila RIP'D NV 60 R-Flex shaft.

 

 

Anyone know how it compares to this shaft:

They sent the wrong shaft. I've not been asked once what I want or what I picked out in the contest. I shouldn't have to. It's right there in my entry with a description plus the picture. I don't know what the deal is with this or why it's so hard to get right.

Did you other 4 winners get the exact drivers and shafts you specified?

If this wasn't a true story it would almost be funny. To answer your question I got an email from Chad at Callaway confirming what I wanted and then letting me know it would be 2- 3 weeks before they arrived. The driver did arrive after 2 weeks and it was what I entered in the contest.

On another note but similar I received a signed hat and the driver within 3 weeks of the contest ending but not the staff bag. I did the same as you and contacted everyone but never got a response. I finally contacted Chad at Callaway and he was very helpful, had the bag within 4 days.

Hopefully they get you straightened out. Surprised Callaway seems to have dropped the ball on this a bit. If you are on twitter have you sent something to chad or harry? They seem to answer on there quite a bit. I'll shoot them a link to the thread for you see if you can get any updates.

Funny you'd say that Steve because I have thought the same thing a few times. I wondered who I made mad? Why would they be upset that I won anything? But I know my luck. It's probably just the universe trying to correct the mistake of me winning!

Well, I heard from Chad on Wednesday and he assured me that the correct shaft would be sent out. Get home today and there is a box from Callaway out front. Sure enough there is a shaft in it...the exact same shaft that was sent to me the last time! Another Aldila RIP'd NV. My collection of incorrect shafts grows. What a mess. I guess me owning my own custom uDesign Razr Fit Extreme driver was just not meant to be.

That is unfrickinbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should send you a complete set of clubs for all the time, delays, lack of communication and incorrect shafts that you have gone through.

I'll never ask you to buy a lottery ticket for me that's for sure.

Trust me, I don't buy them for myself. I know my luck...

I'd just like to have the shaft I picked out in the contest. That's all. I'd gladly send the 3 they have sent me so far back just to get the one I wanted.

Well the correct shaft arrived late last week and I got a chance to try it out on Friday. I really like the driver. After all of this I wanted to not like it but it hits the ball a long way out there for me. Chad also threw in a dozen Callaway Chrome+ golf balls which I hit really well too.

Sorry for all the issues getting the correct shaft, man. Glad you finally got the right one and like it. I'm working with our Order Management team to ensure that issues like this don't happen again.

No problem Chad. I appreciate you seeing it thru and fixing it for me. I really like the driver. I hit it much better than I thought I would. It's definitely longer and straighter than my old Big Bertha Diablo driver. My misses tend to be hooks and I haven't hooked the RFE once. While waiting on the RFE I picked up an X Hot driver from someone here in the board and have hit both the last 2 rounds. It seems to be as long as the RFE for me but I have hooked the ball a time or 2 with it. I'll continue to try both out a few more times but the free driver is looking like the winner at this point.

Glad you were finally able to get the right shaft. I love mine so far, been testing different shafts to see which one fits best. I keep getting comments from all the gator fans because of my blue driver head. Have to let them know the blue is for the Magic.

I am pretty happy with mine as well. It's the shortest ( by about 10 yards on average ) of the three I have but definitely the most accurate. No big misses either way. This driver as well as my other 2 are all the same length and loft so they are easy to compare. My Adams Fast 12 LS has the Kuro Kage in a regular flex. My Geek Little Basturd ( misspelled on purpose ) has the Proforce V2 in a stiff flex. And of course the one that I won has the GD DI6 in it in a stiff flex.

Have either of you switched around the weights to see how it changes the driver? What about opening or closing the face? I think I'm gonna mess around with it and see how it acts for me.

I messed around with the weights and was surprised to see that I could actually feel the difference. I ended up with the heavier weight in the heel and the club face is set to square. Had it closed for a few rounds but went back to square, hit it more consistently that way.
