Guess my HDCP....Swing tips and advice guys please....

This is my current swing taken May 7, 2013. Ide really appreciate allot of detailed advice as I practice everyday after work and put allot of time into it. I've been working on my swing for two years now. Current drill I am working on is the slicefixer 9-3 drill to engrain the proper impact position into my swing.

People are probably scared of the guess my handicap. I think it is like trying to guess the mph on a pitch when watching a pitcher throw. You can know he throws hard, just not how hard.



Also what i'm working on (impact position), so I'll say you are around a 10 hcp (i'm just cautious about going too low, never know what the short game is like!!). Mind you, I have no eyes for these things and no skill to diagnose your swing!

Thnks for responding atleast. My current handicap is an 8 as my short game is good. Mosty working on narrowing my misses and consistency through the impact zone. Should pay off in a few months of consistently doing the 9-3

I'm 9-3ing (yep, a verb) every time I go to the range. I wish I would have repped it earlier. Starting to see some really good payoffs as a result, great ballflight and consistent distance. As long as I can talk my hands out of trying to add some extra zip on the ball at the last second.

At work over Iphone so I cant but will when I get home. I also struggle with the hands and clubhead becoming too active in the downswing. A simple thought ive been workin on to eliminate that is to just focus on getting the hands ahead on the ball at impact which takes the active clubhead out of the picture.

I've been thinking, just bring the back shoulder to the ball and give the hands room to clear on the inside of the ball, and completely disregard the hands.

My guess would be a handicap anywhere from 8 to 13 with that swing. Big range because the swing looks solid but I have no idea about your short game.

If you have problems with sand shots, chipping or putting then my guess would be 13. If your short game is pretty solid I would guess 8 hcp.

On the video I can't really tell but there might be some chicken wing syndrome going there. Probably from not turning the club over after impact. Looks like you are hitting it square though. So back swing thru impact looks good to me. Just after impact looks like you don't turn over the club and try to keep it square still and the left elbow flares out.

I'd say the practice is paying off since back swing and impact look good. It's just after impact, which in my opinion does not really matter and might just be a cosmetic change since you are and should get good results with that swing already. But if you are going to the next level and want to work on fades and draws then I think you have to sort out that after impact your motion still matters where it ends up. Ie turn the club over for a draw leave it open for a fade...then again you might try the same motion and try fades and draws from in-out and out-in swing paths with the club square....

Just reread some of your posts. Ignore the comment above about turning it over if you feel that you have problems with hands getting too active. I have a very similar swing right now and had same issues with hands being too active. Ended up with a chicken wing and not rolling the hands over. But the swing is very consistent and straight, I just have problems trying to draw the ball when needed.
