Hi

This is direct from a question I asked Ping sometime ago regarding the Anser range. I think it might apply to the My Day. However I have seen different info from other sources regarding the putter range.

From 1959 the address was REDWOOD CITY with no code.

1965 the address was SCOTTSDALE , ARIZONA 85252

1966 from Autumn of that year for 1 year was 85029.

1967 KARSTEN MANUFACTURING CORPORATION 85029

1968-1973 Kartsen Mfg.Corp.Box 9006 Phoenix,AZ 85020

1973 to present Karsten Mfg.Corp.Box 9990 Phoenix,AZ 85068

Does that only apply to the Anser model? I have a Ping Pal that I bought, brand new, in 1984 and it has the Box 9006, Phoenix, AZ 85020--which indicates it was made between 1968-73? There is no way my putter was 10 years old in 1984--it was completely brand new (not a restoration either).

I understand what you are saying and to be honest i can't get to the bottom of this.

My above post is a direct copy from the ping question i sent them, however in the UK, Ping gave me information indicating the putter was different to what i actually knew was correct. Perhaps someone with greater knowledge (that isn't hard) could help further. Regarding the 028 that should be 029 and it' possibly just a casting issue. I can only imagine that the information relates to all Ping as it relates to the company manufacturing dept.

Some, if not all, MyDay, Zing retained the 020 zip code.

Even the Ansers have remakes in some years.

If shaft band is present it should be predominately black with white and red writing/markings. I don't have a picture of this shaft band. Anyone???

Can somebody post a picture of these older Ping shaft labels. I’ve recently picked up a ZING and working on what I think may be one of the first runs of the ANSER. It’s all very confusing, in the reading I’ve done so far it sounds like the consensus is the whole zip code dating is definitely more solid and consistent on the Anser’s. My ZING has a 85020 zip on head but has a 85068 on shaft label. Either reshafted or I think I read in here all ZING’s could be zip coded 85020.??? Seems like everyone is asking about the same questions.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
