There was an article this year about the club possibly being sold. Anyone know if that happened?

In case you are still interested, yes Dalton sold in late winter to a group that is lightly associated with the Hale Irwin development group. These guys who bought it also own 3-4 other courses dotted through Kansas and Colo. So far, things are fine. they did a big drive for new members right away, offering a no initiation fee deal if people would sign to commit to paying the monthly dues for three years minimum. That brought in enough new members that it now is more difficult to just show up and play. So all the veteran members are unhappy because they were spoiled, but it's good for the club. New management is good, knows what they are doing and attentive.

Can't beat the scenery that's for sure. Beautiful course and well kept.

The chainsaw art on the dead trees is out of this world, such an awesome idea!

I'm visiting Durango in August and will try to play here a few times.

Played it years back, thought it was a good course but was not overly impressed. We went down and played Pinion Hills for a few days and played it on the way back to Denver. Overall good course but maybe it was the ownership at that time.
