Got A Box Today From David Mills

I had ordered a handmade from David Mills and I got the box today. I opened it up and there were two putters inside, the softtail style I had ordered and a number one style as well. I think they are beautiful. What do you think?

Yes, oilcan finish. I had pictures of a putter made for David Toms, sent them to David and he put his touches on the putters but kept the spirit of the design. I couldn't be happier with the result. I have about 15 Mills customs and handmades but these are my favorites because they were made for me.

I was very excited to see David Mills on the face of the one putter. I have not seen a putter with his name on the face like that, just in the cavity and on the sole.

Yes, I had been in a crappy mood all day, came home and saw the box on my doorstep. When I saw TP Mills Company on the return address I immediately got excited. I opened the box, saw two putters inside, even more pumped. I even got a letter from David explaining why two putters instead of one. Classy touch to send out two putters and give me the option of taking both. I love collecting putters, 160 and counting, and I get excited every time I open a putter box.

Yeah, Everyone says I have a problem. At least half of my putters are older Pings, thats what I started off collecting about 15 years ago when they were hot. I now just collect milled putters and my latest obsession is obviously Mills putters. I say enjoy what you like to do, if that's buying golf clubs do it. We could do worse things with our money.

I usually am not this enthusiastic about getting new putters but these two have lit a fire in me. I am going out today to try them. I will let you guys know my thoughts on these putters.

I am going to the course in about 30 minutes. They both will get probably 9 holes of playing time. I'll decide which to use after that.
