Hogan Putter collection

For you Hogan fans thought you might want to see Hogan collecting breaking bad!!

Here is a picture of a few Hogan putters, Over 100 Hogan Co. putters, 20 different Bettinardi Hogans and 8 different Macgregor Hogan putters, and all 12 different Macdougall Hogans.

How long did it take you to lay out all those putters for the photo?

I own a set of 1988 Hogan Redline irons and a set of the original Apex Plus irons. In addition, I have a large, never on the course, 11-inch Hogan staff bag with "Since 1953" "BH" and small reproduction of the man with "Ben Hogan" on the front of the bag, along with a smaller white Hogan staff bag with "Ben Hogan Shreveport Open" on the ball pocket. It also has never been on the course.

I've never owned a Hogan putter, however.

You seem to have the market cornered on those!

Hogan Redlines are one of his best irons made, some say his best. My favorites are his Precisions.

As far as his bags ,not shown in the picture is over 72 different Hogan bags. Like the putters, starting when AMF bought his company every year there would be 20 to 30 different types of bags, impossible to get them all as a collector

Hogan came out with new lines of putters almost every year, very slight difference and just changed numbers ,letters on them.

At Shady Oaks golf course they have over 200 different Hogan putters, many prototypes never made for the public.

To be honest, I never knew much about the Precisions until I joined WRX.

I was going to ask you about the number of staff bags you owned, but I figured it would come out somehow

There is a set of Precision's on the bay right now, very nice set, should go for over 500 I would bet

You might find this interesting: I just saw a lot of the old Hogan team at Tom Stites' retirement party at The Oven in Ft. Worth a couple of weeks ago. It was neat, Tom invited his old co-workers and friends from Hogan, Head and Impact Golf days, as well as Nike personnel, members of the press, etc.. Nice to see many old friends, some of whom I haven't seen in 20 years... But I digress (and show my age). lol

Anyway, here's a Hogan Apex HB-1 Milled putter in my modest collection. Sorry it has a few battle scars and rust, but overall a nice patina... This used to be my gamer, a few (OK, many) years ago. I also have an Edge Radar and a MacDougall P-200 wooden shafted brass blade (which I see you also have) and a few more, tucked away here and there.

I would have loved to been there at Stites party and asked questions of the old crew!!
The Apex was a great putter, I have a couple different versions of it.

I really like the Sure IN models, they are offset a bit and have soft faces. There are a couple of his early model, with no numbers that are like his Macgregor Spur putter he used for most of his wins that I really like also.

Magnificent collection, a man after my own heart, but I have to ask (purely because I couldn't do it myself) why have they gone into storage, that must have been heart wrenching.

it's temporary, we moved into a rental for a year or so until we hopefully reside in Palm Springs sometime next year!!

I found this thread shopping for Hogan putters, and I saw the picture was gone... I was looking for something like a P135 or Princess, and I was hoping if the photo could be reposted... From the description this sounds like it could be described as 'The preeminent privately-held Hogan Putter collection in the world' and I'd like to use it as a 'Select-a-putter'
