Hello everyone! Well a week has passed and I must say it was a great day! Our pro was Peter Senior, who eventually finished second in the tournament. The person I caddied for was an big time executive at Chevron. Her home course is The Olympic Club. Her two sons filled out our foursome. One of her sons HAS GAME!! Her other son just recently taken up the game.
It was awkward at first, you know getting to know each other. After about four holes, I got a feel for her game. At about the turn, her and I were thinking alike. I would hand her a club and she would be pleased with my choice.
Harding Park is hilly. It was quite a work out. The most interesting part of the day was watching Peter Senior play. Just watching a professional at his craft was something else. Since I was inside the ropes, I could hear what he said after every shot and putt.
His son was his caddy.
After the round, I got a very generous tip from my amateur. I also got paid for the loop. We also got fed a nice breakfast and lunch. Snacks were available at several holes.
I want to do it again next year!!

No Scooter, she was old enough to be my mother. But she was very nice and made the experience less intimidating.
Another memory was the guard at the main clubhouse. She was cold as ice. I was sent to go in there a couple of times. She wouldn't let me in. No credential, no entry. I explained I was told to go inside. She wouldn't budge.
We weren't allowed in the professional caddy lounge either. I heard they were eating steak and eggs for breakfast. We got bagels and fruit. But at the first tee, there was a refreshment tent. I loaded up on Uncrustables. I had three of them.
