Need a course near Marlborough, MA

I'm headed to Marlborough the first week of April for my fiancé's hockey tournament. We are staying in Marlborough and just have a shared team vehicle. Assuming I can get a short ride from the team, where can I hop on for 18 near by?

Doesn't need to be amazing, but not a dump either.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I have a few suggestions for you. My top pick would be Cyperian Keyes. Then Wachusett CC would be another good pick also.
You also can try Juniper Hills, have not played in a while, bit was in good shape the last time I played there.
These are just a few suggestions that you can choose from. Hope the weather is good when you get here and are able to play.

Hit'em straight.

Juniper Hill is public & 36 holes - so access should be easy in early april

cross your fingers on weather - and set reasonable expectations on conditions (anywhere in nee) early april

Unless we have an unusual winter, your only feasible choice is likely to be Stow Acres. It's about 15 minutes from Marlboro and is always one of the first courses to open prior to New England golf's traditional opening day of Patriot's Day (middle of April & no relation to Brady's Patriots).

Marboro C.C. makes *some* Tee Times available to the public. Back 9 is supposedly an old Donald Ross layout ... I don't believe it. Front 9 is a Cornish layout and just average. They hosted a Senior Tour event for about 5 years, back in the early 80's. I doubt they'll be open the first week in April, as they have drainage issues.

Wachusett CC isn't close and they always have drainage & condition issues. Juniper Hills has 2 courses, both typical munis with drainage/condition issues. One of their courses may be open in April and they're almost as close as Stow Acres.

Cyprian Keyes may not be that close (depending on where in Marlboro you are), probably won't be open & I've yet to meet anyone who likes the course. Personally, I wouldn't play it they were giving me $50.

Id say your choice of where to play is going to be solely dependent on what courses are actually open then. If all the courses were open I would tell you to go play The International. Stow Acres is a solid option though especially if these other guys say they open earlier than others.

If The International is open the first week in April, it would be only the 2nd time in the 15 years I've been a member.

I know most of the kids in the bag room, I'd rather play with them than a lot of the members! I don't know Kyle or I can't place the name?
