I'm just interested to see how many WRX'ers we have out there in the Dakota Territory. Would be cool to get to know some local players and possible get something organized to play together some day.

I'm in South Dakota, but I figured since we're few and far between on here for the dakotas I would include both! Looking forward to hearing from some SD and ND members.

Didn't think the Dakotas membership was this sparse...

I was stationed at Ellsworth AF Base in the late 80's early 90's (now in Ohio). Played the base course when it was brand new a good bit.
I also played a course out just before Deadwood.
I played one of the executive courses in Rapid City but never played any of the nicer courses there.
I remember South Dakota having the most golf courses per capita of anywhere in the country, of course, there wasn't even 1 million living in the state!

And there still isn't 1 million living in the state! I haven't had the pleasure of playing some of the great west river courses yet either.

I'm just north of Bismarck. My brother is also a member on here. We're both members of Painted Woods, 30 miles north of Bismarck. I have only played one round in Sioux Falls, and I can't remember the name of the course.

ddetss you still in Sioux Falls? What course(s) do you belong to? I'm here in Yankton and belong to Hillcrest. Don't see many Dakota guys on the site.

Yeah, still in Sioux Falls. I'm a GreatLife member, so I play their courses. Mostly Willow Run, as that's my home course.

Bismarck ND here. Spent some time with work in Sioux Falls a few years ago but didn't play much golf then. Looked like a nice course on the east side of 29.

I've only played Willow and Bakker. Bakker is meh..Willow is fun. I was a member at the Country Club up in Brookings for a year when I lived up there, beautiful course. If you are ever in the area let me know, round is on me.

There are two courses tucked back in there - the two private country clubs: 1. The Country Club of Sioux Falls (formerly Westward Ho CC) and 2. Minnehaha CC. Minnehaha CC isn't really visible from I29 and is by far the better course; I've only been lucky enough to play it once.

I have been wanting to get up and play Brookings CC sometime, would love to come up and play. Do they still let non-resident guests come up and play multiple times in a year? Looks like on their site they have different pricing for guest with a member vs guest without a member.

You're right, Bakker is just ok but is usually kept in good shape. I wish GreatLife would manage to pick up Brandon Golf Club as that's a nice course too and I still play that a couple times a year. With GreatLife having Madison Country Club I also try to play that a couple times a year as well.

I lived in Fargo for like 7 years - between college and work. I played Hawktree and love that course.
