Paul Azinger- “2 Turns in the backswing”

I recently heard a Paul Azinger soundbite where he refers to the back swing being two parts, or “2 turns”...I didn’t hear him get to elaborate on this topic and was wondering if anybody else could speak on this method or has done it...and how it works.

It seems like it would be a very good fundamental to help create rhythm in the backswing.

Anybody use this move?

I think he said "the golf swing is two turns and a swish, not turn, swish, turn". Then he elaborated just a bit and said "the back right pants pocket goes toward the target, then the back left pants pocket goes away from the target, then there is a swish (of the club)".

Yup, this seems correct. I've heard him say that in clips and I think in his GC Academy show(s) too....which are also very good.

Azinger got that saying from John Jacobs, a famous English golf instructor.

Paraprasing here... " this isn't that complicated, the golf is really nothing more than two turns and a swish now is it."

Like a lot of the modern teachers especially the Harmon brothers but if you really want to symplify your golf swing study Jimmy Ballard, Manuel de la Torre, John Jacobs, etc. amazing teachers. i m o
