New 2019 TaylorMade Bag Lineup

I was expecting only new colors for the Flextech lineup so I was surprised to see that the bags were completely updated. I'm in love with the new simple and clean style but also some functional improvements, like the added magnetic rangefinder pocket on the Flextech Lite. I will be returning my new Sun Mountain 4Plus for the Flextech Lite in Titanium/Blue color. Admitting I have an unhealthy obsession with golf bags is the first step...

Other Flextech changes include new Lifestyle color patterns as well as Lifestyle options for the Crossover and Lite for the first time. I happened across the Lite Freestyle on the DSG website and it's only offered in a single strap option. It's not on the TM site. Here's the link for that:

In addition to the Flextech lineup, there's a brand new model, the Litetech 3.0 an ultralight stand bag weighing in at only 3 lbs. For whatever reason, this new bag isn't on the TM site but is on tgw.com. Weird. Personally, I'm not a fan of this really light material. Obviously, that's by design however it just feels cheap and not durable to me. I prefer the more sturdy Hoofer/Flextech canvas-like material.

As for cart bags, I haven't seen any changes, not even new color options.

Good question. There isn’t that much difference but if I had to choose, I would say TM has the advantage but again - it’s minimal.

I would agree with this. Both great bags, but similar regarding club tangle. I just don’t think there is a way to avoid it. The old Ogio top design was good if it fit your club configuration, but the bags were prone to bad legs and blow-outs.

Glad they kept the flextech. I enjoyed last years model for use at the range and on carts. Bag never shifted on the cart

TM needs to make a staff stand bag again.

I was in a PGASS and they have the new Flextech bags. I was planning on getting the Lite so I checked out the new rangefinder pocket and I must say that I’m very disappointed. Yes, I have a larger rangefinder (Bushnell X7) but it’s a pretty popular model and the fit was way too tight. You really have to stuff it in there for it to stay in place. Plus you’re bending down which is inconvenient. Not only that, it’s visible from the outside which I don’t like either.

As much as I liked the look and whatnot, I may stick with my SM 4Plus. We’ll see.

Super frustrating that the TaylorMade UK cart/trolley bags are available in the blood orange and black but not in the US.
