Difference between, and number of, coaches?

What is the difference between a swing coach and a standard golf coach? Is a swing coach only focused on the full swing? If so does that mean that a player might have a short game and putting coach? Realistically, how many different coaches are there for junior golfers?

My child is still years away from this but I am just trying to understand the options as well as potential cost, and how necessary all of these things are.

Thanks in advance

A good coach should be able to teach all of those areas.

When most people say swing coach they mean the exact same thing as what you’re calling a golf coach. Now there’s a huge difference between a team coach in high school or college and a swing coach. But the way you’re using it they are synonymous

There all the same guy. You really don’t need anyone else. Sometimes people work with specialists on certain parts of the game such a short game coach.

There is no need to over complicate things if your are improving on advice your already getting.

If your not improving then it means either new coach or bring help in areas that coach is lacking. No right or wrong answer either.

Don’t worry about juniors who have teams of coaches it means nothing.

At the bare minimum you should have a swing coach, short game coach and manager. Agents and PR groups can come later.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Plus a mental toughness coach, trainer and dietician. Without these basics by age 7, you might as well quit golf.

My son needs a mental toughness couch. He had terrible meltdowns and can't let it go. I told him he's going to a sports psychologist. Last time he had one we cried in the car saying I don't want a sports psychologist.
I laughed I said one of us is going to end up with a therapist before this is over with 😂

I though you were the golfwrx agent for all junior golfers? Do we need to find another?

Yes, his name is Mac Barnhardt. (If you haven't listened to TOUR COACH with Tony Ruggiero and Mac Barnhardt it's time to fire up iTunes.)

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.
