Anybody playing Evnroll 35" with heavier head?

Going to custom order the new ER1.2B tour blade. I play my putters at 35" generally. I found with the ER2B it was a lot of work to get the ball to the hole. Part of that may be the slippery gravity grip (they need to fix the texture).

My thoughts are I will order it with 3.5 degrees of loft. I think the stock 2* may have been part of the problem with the ER2B. I was also thinking of doing the 370g head as well but not sure if that will make the problem worse? Great on fast greens but not so good on average? Thoughts?

Got fit at Evnroll. Brought in my 370g 34” ER2 and ended up with a new 35” shaft in my 370g head. According to my build sheet, total weight is ~600g and swing weight is ~E5.

I used to really like my putter. Now I love it. I’d suggest giving them a call... I got fit by Alan and he was super knowledgeable. I bet he can point ya in the right direction. Hope that helps!

I bought an ER2 when they first came out. Custom ordered it 35" with 370g head direct from Evnroll. Hine site I wish I hadn't. Number 1 reason why is I struggled getting the ball to the hole. Through trial and error I found I putt better with a head around 340-360g. I just felt like I had to kill everything with that putter to get it to the hole. Sold it in mint condition for a huge loss.

If you buy the 370g head, buy it because you prefer that head weight. Don't buy it thinking it'll give you a higher MOI.

You are correct on the greens though. Heavier heads are a little better on fast greens, lighter heads (or higher Moi putters) are a little better on slow greens.

That's what I thought. I figure going with the 355g head at 35" and 70* lie/3.5* loft gives me almost identical specs to my Scotty which I know works. Quite possible that loft had something to do with my issues with the ER2. I worry that going heavier will cause the issue you had. I get good pricing on them so if I need to reorder it won't be an issue.

Agree that the Gravity grip is too slippery!

I have the gravity grip. Rubbed it down real good with a soapy rag, rinsed and dried and took a lot of that away. I did give a pretty thorough scrubbing and feels fine now.
