Anyone hear of Lomond golf clubs (irons) from Scotland?

A family friend passed away, and had an old set of golf clubs. We believe he got them in Scotland, and the name on the irons is Lomond golf. They look to be from possibly the 60s or 70s. Steel heads and steel shafts, and are a bit rusted. I did a quick search on ebay and Google, and came up with nothing. Thanks, Ed

Lots of collectors on the other side of the pond that could probably help you track the info down. If you can post a few pictures, that always helps too. Good luck on your search.

Lomond Golf were a small and short lived producer, I'd say early 1980s but how long they operated for I don't know.

I've only seen their Silver Blade series of irons, nice clubs and not very common.

Thanks for the replies. Here's a few pics. Got the 8 iron instead of the 5. Also the driver. Looks like a complete set, with 1, 3, and 5 wood. They were purchased in '84 or '85.

This is interesting, I’ve just found my late fathers clubs and they are also from Lomond Golf.  Series 2.

I doubt it was Lomond Golf, the number 8 looks familiar but I can't find anything by Letters or Sayers etc that matches it.

Its a half set, no woods.  He bought them in the mid-late 80's from (I think) Downshire Golf Club near Wokingham in Berkshire.

We are ready to sell them now if there is an interest for them, but not sure there is really.

There's not a huge amount of interest in vintage clubs at the moment but prices can sometimes surprise.

The Sliver Blade Series 1 and Series 2 were advertised in the Equipment Listing for Golf World magazine in April 1981.

These look like Ben Sayers copies.
