What's the most popular Driver shaft on Tour

So i was playing in a tournament in the last group with this guy leading the tourney and we're on the 17th hole and he snaps his 09 Burner in half and throws it in the trash...and and after he pulled away i scored the head and im looking for a good shaft to put in it... looking for a popular shaft on tour or a shaft you'd recommend.

that is actually a pretty funny story you got there. and so far i agree with the pf v2 as well as the vs proto. they are not the most expensive shafts out there or most prestigious, but they do preform. they flat out work well. the v2 in my 905r is very smooth and i feel like it should cost way more than it did very underrated

Sweet, only one of the short list above I have played is the Avixcore tour red s flex 69g in my 07 burner and it is nite and day compared to the factory shaft. Does what it says it will and performs much more consistantly than stock it is a smooth and firm feeling shaft.

fujikura

one of my friends plays on the nationwide tour and the first list given is pretty much dead on from talking to him. Matrix shafts could be added to the list but most pros are playing the tphd around $1200 a shaft. i play the axivcore red in 79 x and i have to say it is the best shaft i have ever played and as stated above very underrated.

VooDoo is big right now, V2 is too harsh for me, but may work for you. VS Proto is just a good shaft. The Blueboard and Whiteboard are good shafts. Pro Launch is actually a decent shaft and gets some play. Maybe you can find an Accra that will fit your game. They make good shafts. The new Fujikura Motore has had some play too, decent shaft. It's the stock shaft for the R9, find one and try it, see if you like the shaft.

The Motore is the #1 played because of Fuji's tie-in with TM. #2 most played last week was Matrix F7M2 (used by Glover to win US Open) and #3 was tie between Voodoo XVS6 and Diamana BB73. Aldila and Fuji have been leaders for long time, Mistibishi is making strong run this year and has actually lead count a few times. Matrix has jumped ahead of GD & Graffaloy and is fighting for #5 spot weekly with UST.

I feel like there have been a ton of blue boards and white boards this year compared to previous seasons.

I think people get used to a certain feel and certain shafts have particular characteristics which impact feel. IMO, the Diamana WB and BB are fantastic shafts and I have really gotten used to them - I can see why so many pros play them as they are exceptionally consistent!!

Why did he throw it away? What shaft is in it now? Is the head a TP?

The V2 shaft is just plain bad a@@ for the money!!

Is it a regular Burner or a TP Burner? That could make a bit of difference in your shaft choice

the guy was flat out crazy but it has a regular head .....i think it had a re ax 70 or something in it...he broke a few wedges earlier in the round ..it was entertaining
