I went to a Titleist fitter earlier this year and I was fit for a PF AxivCore Red 79 X-Stiff on a Titleist 909D2. I am thinking about getting the driver and a fairway wood, the 909F2. What shaft would work in that. Should I just use the same PF AxivCore Red as in the driver, or should I get something totally different? What do you guys recommend?

The best thing would probably be to go to the fitter again and do a custom fit on the Titleist 909F2 and then choose what weight you should have in it. I don't think it is that smart to have the same weight on the driver as the 3wood. Maybe you should have a AXIVCore Red Series 89 X-Stiff in it.

I would probably step up to the Axivcore Red 89X for your fairway wood. Because of the shorter length of the 3 wood if you use the same shaft as the driver the swingweight will be lighter than you want without hotmelting or tip weighting. Additionally most people prefer a slightly heavier shaft in their fairway woods. But +1 for going back to the fitter, it's better to get it right then just guess. It is very possible a different shaft would suit you better in the fairway wood then your driver.
