PING Tour vs Tour-W wedges

Those of you who have played both the PING Tour and Tour-W wedges.. What if any differences have you noticed between the two?

The Ping Tour Black Nickel 58.8 was the best wedge I ever played: excellent setup, feel and versatility. I switched to the Tour-W's after I wore the Tour out. I think they improved the setup and spin but the Tour felt better and was easier to hit out of tight lies. I also hit the Tour-W's higher which I don't really like. That said, I've had them for two years. I am looking to get new wedges this year though.

I noticed the same thing,for some reason these go HIGH!

the stock wedges are very different.

-The tour wedges have very rounded edges and didn't spin the ball very much, i felt the feel was quite dull aswell on touch shots. Not to say i don't like them, i still play the 52 and 56. They are great from the fairways

-i owned 3 Tour W's. Better touch and more spin, but i felt they were brutal on wet grass or for steep swingers. The leading edge was sharp like a knife, i moved some earth with those things. Also on the lob wedge the sole was a little wide for my liking

You should give the new Tour W TS (Thin Sole) a try. I think you can get in 58, 60, and 62 degree's. It basically looks like a wedge with a lot of heel, toe, and trailing edge relief.

i thougth the ts was stated for the grind, i have the ts on my 61 and find it very usefull in all kinds of shots.
if you are to get ping wedges, get them with that grind. very easy to work with.

yeah i'm aware of them, but i have a DSG sole from cleveland which i bought before the TS came out. It's basically the same thing

I would like to hear more people's opinions about the difference between these two wedges.

I recently got a custom set of Tour-Ws (52, 56, 60) with Z-Z65 shafts. But then I found brand new Tour wedges in the same lofts for less than half the price of the Tour-Ws. Of course I bought them. I don't think I need both sets (and I would want to sell one of the sets to buy more stuff!), but wanted to see your opinions before I start using them (weather in Ohio should be getting good soon!).
