UK WRX Golf day

What you thinking ? I might be able to get time off uni for a game

Was thinking organising for a Friday, pre and post round food on a decent course, Copt Heath for example.

All playing for a 'lovely' jacket as the trophy.

Would be good, depending on work/family I would love to go

I'm in the same boat of Jonny Wilson to be honest sounds great but realistically hard

And I'm even further North, Carlisle to be exact! Seriously we should get something planned for 2011, preferably on a classic course that is close to the motorway network, for example Beau Desert in Staffs.....

Agree with the closeness to the motorway network. How does April sound?

I wouls suggest Whittington Heath..... (15 mins away from the Belfry). If you have never heard of it I cant tell you how good it is.

Ive heard Beau Desert is top drawer as well.

I am too young to drink alcohol but I would need to come in the bar to collect my winnings!

I would also be interested if it was a suitable date, and wasn't too horrific a journey from deepest, darkest Surrey!

How about a weekend trip to Blackpool/Southport? Play a couple of the fine links around the area, St.Annes Old Links, Fairhaven, Hillside, Southport and Ainsdale etc. It may be a bit of a journey for some but well worth a trip. Infact could stay at Formby Hall which is a nice newish course, had a lot of money spent on it and already host's some Euro Pro Events and the like. One round there and one at Southport and Ainsdale which is just around the corner from there.

I know of two other WRXers in my club alone, so how about a north east WRX day?

[size="4"]Tyne and Wear, not blessed with the very best courses but we have some good tracks in Durham, Northumberland and down Seaton Carew way.
If anybody wants to organise a day at their club, lets just agree a date and go for it. Any takers?

Well im in Middlesbrough but will be up for a game somewhere so lets try and get something sorted. Hopefully not Seaton Carew. Lost about 15 balls last time I played there.

Another vote for the midlands here though would be happy to travel a bit. If it turns out to be Midlands i would recommend Sandwell park in birmingham or beau desert or branston golf club. All great courses. Would be happy to help with organisation, let me know
