Callaway TOUR iZ 2011

wonder how much better it is than last years one

Depends if you are using the JAWS or not.

The prototype ProV1 held up to my Jaws wedges better than the current iZ ball. I hope the new one holds up just as well. Some how, the new 2011 ball was probably optimized to play with the Jaws CC wedges.

Yeah they are on the shelves in that states and have been so for a while. They are also all over the bay. Good ball but the cover is not as durable as I would have liked. I bought a dozen to try and but I'll stick with my nike one tour D.

I got a dozen of the new ball about 3 weeks ago. I dont notice a big difference overall in performance, except in more spin with the wedges and around the greens. The ball is still very durable, which surprised me for the amount of spin i gained. No distance loss off any of the other clubs.

Let me guess Phil wanted more spin To hit his spinners from the rough cause he cant hit a fairway. Phil should work for NASA.

i found one and gamed it for 10 holes until i hit it OB

whats different than the tour iz thats been out all year. cant find any info on this

me too. couldn't find much. anyone care to chime in.

the only tour iz ive seen on the bay and stores is the one thats been out all year, couldnt find anything when i googled it either besides this thread

where did you get them at? I cant find anything at all on this ball. I play the tour i(s) normally but the I(z) on soft wet days and really want to try the new one out.

i got a email back from callaway saying they have no clue what im talking about that there is no plan for a new tour iZ for 2011. hmmmm

its already on the usga conforming ball list along with a tour iS

wonder if these are just prototype balls for the pro's

I am on full staff with Callaway, I play in the Georgia PGA and in some minitour events. They gave me a dozen to try

Like i said before i have some of the new iZ ball, but i also found some [b][/b]-[b][/b]*Tour i(z)*[b][/b]-[b][/b] and i didnt know if anyone knows what ball that is?

man your lucky i really want to get some of these. callaway told me they had no idea what i was talking about and didnt have a new tour iZ for 2011.
the Tour I(Z) is the normal one thats been out all year.

There will be a new ball for 2011 but very minimal changes. i know they aren't even going to market it on the box? Must be very subtle.

I just don't understand why so many people chew up covers... I play more golf then most people and currently play i(z). I hit it hard and spin it a lot too, and don't face the ongoing problems that I read about here and elsewhere on the internet. My average ball lasts 3-5 rounds.

ya i dont chew the ball as bad as what people write on here, i can get a couple rounds out of a ball before i toss it and that is with the jaws and vr wedge

I received a couple of iS balls last week. They have a big S instead of the smaller retail version and they do spin more than the retail.

The 2011 version will have a more durable cover and be 5 compression points softer.

cool guess callaway just didnt want me to know lol. Cant wait to try these anybody know when they will hit stores
