Titleist NXT Tour vs. Bridgestone E5

Which do you prefer?

For Driving, irons shots, wedge shots and putting?

The NXT Tour flies farther off all clubs and feels a bit softer. The E5 flies higher off all clubs and spins more around the green. Both are pretty durable. The NXT Tour is the longer ball.

I like both but if I had to choose, I'd go with the NXT Tour. The E5 is fun around the greens, but about 1/2 club shorter.

PS. Just realized. The NXT has been around for awhile, and I think they're (Titleist) getting ready to re-name it.

I prefer e5. It is longer and better in all ways compared to NXT Tour for me.

I like the NXT TOUR out of these two. And Yes I heard a June replacement for the NXT TOUR. Not sure what it will be yet

This is stupid, but I hate Bridgestone because of their tires, plus they don't make left-handed clubs. Can't ever go wrong with Titlest. Srixon & Nike are nice as well.

Of the 2 you mentioned I much prefer the E5. Just feels better. And I like the fact it launches a little higher and spins more for me. Distance is similar.

Man, you must have had a bad experience but I love Bridgestone tires. Best out there. I do hate the fact that they don't cater to lefties though.

I prefer the E5 due to the extra spin around the green. I don't get nearly as much of the "hit on the green then run right off's" as I used to.

Played the e5 all last year. Prefer it to the NXT Tour, longer and spins more. About the same feel. And it has a seamless cover...after years of playing Bridgestone/Precept I can't look at a ball with a seam.

This year I'm playing the Srixon AD333. Similiar to the e5 in distance and spin, but a softer feel. Just another ball to consider...

This past week, I bought a sleeve of the new Maxfli Fire, the 2d version of the Nike Ignite and the Srixon AD333. I was most impressed with both the new Ignite and the AD333. The AD333 is very long and has a nice soft feel to it. It will draw off the driver and hop/stop on the green.

How does the Bridgestone e6 compare to the e5 and the NXT Tour?

e6 spins less thus goes straighter, and is longer. doesn't bite as much as either the NXT tour or e5 around the greens.

I have been meaning to try the e5 b/c it's cover is made of urethane whereas the NXTs have surylyn(sp?) covers. Seems like a reasonable price for urethane. Plus you get a free hat with the bridgestone balls.

except for the fact that almost all nike balls are made by bridgestone. At least, that's what the nike rep tells me.

E5 has a much better cover, urethane. Nxt has a cheap poly something cover, basically very cheap to make. E5 feels better, performs better around the greens and costs about the same. I will spend my money on the E5 for a mid price ball.

I've played both. I prefer and I am playing the E5. Long enough off the tee for me but has good bite around the green.

I have been playing the E6 and BH Tour Deep depending on the day, conditions and how I am playing and found the e6 a better choice over the NXTs. I will have to try the E6 against the E5 which I have not tried, may be the better and cheaper option to HX Tours or Tour Deeps.
