Grand Theft Auto V

Just picked it up for ps3. There is a huge download before you can play but I'm pumped.

Anyone else playing?

Have played all but about 2 hours since getting home from midnight release. I have it on 360 though.
So far this game has lived up to the hype. Some things could be better (like ability to rob stores etc.) But i've been really impressed so far. So fun!

It looks so fun. I should get a console.

What do you do?

How big is the map? I thought I read it was bigger than all the previous GTA's combine. I'm going to pick it up when I get home from my business trip. Can't wait.

Pretty much anything you want. There is a designated story arc, but you can free roam and there's TONS of stuff in the game.

I don't know how to put it in words, but the map is HUGE. Easily the largest map of any game I've ever seen. Oh, there's ZERO load times on the map. (insane right?!?!).

I went to get a copy yesterday but the line was insane. I'm hoping I can get it today. I heard the online is going to be seriously awesome. The robbing stores is supposed to be covered in the online.

It's awesome!!!!! You can even play golf hahah although its pretty damn hard, I quit after two holes to continue with the story hahah

The graphics are amazing, played it until 1 in the morning and I had class at 7am this mornin haha!

I've been waiting 5years 4months and 18days since GTA4 for this!!
I am sooo excited

I am putting this on my Christmas wish list. My gamer son is pumped becasue we used to play the older version. Why wait till Christmas? Too much golf left.

This game is incredible. Played with my wife and brother in law for 7 hours yesterday. I'm actually upset it's football sunday because I can't play gta

My friend just beat the game today. I usually buy an Xbox winter break, play a game, and sell it after winter break. Looks like I am set for this year!!

Picked it up last night and played for 8 hours. Game is ridiculous. The map is unbelievably huge. Oh and I shot a 5 under round at the golf course in game. Definitely a plus that they added that in there. Hands down the best GTA in the series.

as much praise as this game gets, for some reason i find it incredibly boring. its like a glorified taxi cab service. the first couple hours of driving around exploring and wreaking havoc are fun, but when it comes down to it the actual missions and overall game, it isn't all that great.

it seems that the production team to 90% of the last few years to work on the map and creating the environment, and then realized they needed to throw some missions into the game for it to have a purpose.

Just wait until October 1st when the multiplayer is finally unlocked. GTA 4 was always in the Top 10 most games played on Xbox Live, and it was released 5 years ago.....

I'm 41 years old..haven't played a video game in 10 years,, I bought a xbox 360 a week ago,,and bought this game 2 days ago. Still in plastic and didn't open, heard it is super addicting. What will wife say now..? 2 addicting hobbies golf and maybe GTA 5

Plowing over that line of monks or whatevers they were was a nice bonus. I played San Andreas on my computer , but to me it gots boring. I enjoy Diablo 3 , Starcraft 2 ands Skyrim more. [/color]

I haven't played a game since the swag genesis era really.. Are these new games hard? Haven't even opened my new xbox 360 or grand theft auto..will do this weekend,

The 3 games she mentioned at the end were all PC games and they each seem to have a great number of followers. I played the original Starcraft and it was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, I haven't played a PC game in quite some time.

If you guys don't mind me asking, what exactly is the attraction to GTA?

Been gaming all my life and for whatever reason GTA has never appealed to me. I'm primarily a racing or sports gamer but I'll play whatever if it's fun and with all the positive reviews it seems I would have picked up a used copy of one of the installments at some point but never have.

ive always played them because the missions are fun and the cars are always the best

I beat up a few hipsters the other night while playing. That alone made it worth the money. In all seriousness though, this map is incredibly big with tons of stuff to do/explore. I've never been the biggest GTA fan, but the complete lunacy of the game is a lot of fun.

Can't wait till they get the car disappearing bug fixed. Have a few adders in my garage that need to be upgraded.
