How many golf balls lost per round?

Usually 1 or 2 every other round of golf if I'm playing a course that has alot of water hazards.

Plan on none, often the case, I think worst that I can remember was 3..those are often cocktail hour rounds

Most rounds I don't lose any. If the rough is up a little, I sometimes lose a ball out in the open.

If my score that day is in the high 70's I usually didn't lose any, if it's in the low 80's I lost 1, mid to high 80's it was a bad day and I lost 2-3

I'm a 5 handicap (trending down) and I think I've only lost 2 balls this year (except scrambles where I take stupid gambles). The course I play isn't real tight but has lots of places to lose errant shots. I am not a risk taker on the course and hit the ball pretty much where I aim, so I won't lose many balls.

My pet peeve on the course is taking penalty strokes. Many times I've taken my shoes off, rolled up my pants and hacked a ball out of a hazard.

I'm a 20 hcp and I can lose anywhere from 1 to about 8. Haven't had one of those days in awhile.

I've actually cut way down since I figured out my slice and started thinking my way around the course. I average 2 or 3 per 18..

I don't look for balls for more than a minute or 2. They sell them in dozens for a reason.

I am a 13 cap. I'll usually lose 1 or 2 balls a round but there are times I won't lose any. My last three rounds I have been driving the ball extremely well or should I say straight and I haven't lost any balls. I did lose 11 balls on one hole a few years back. I might have lost more but I quit the hole since it was best ball and I was sure my partner was going to do better on the hole. LOL

I am all over the map on this one.

I have had weeks where I haven't lost a ball, then played rounds where I am down six balls before the turn. Sometimes the course is a factor, sometimes I get too bold and think that I am going to carry the water "this time," and sometimes it's just a bad bounce and the ball is gone.

12 handicap, rarely lose a ball, but find I go through several with getting scuffed up. All the high end balls are so soft. Tried the Volvik Vista IV this past weekend and after 2 holes scuffed up from either irons or wedges. I wish I like 2 piece balls, but I have yet to find one yet that does not scuff up after a round. Maybe going to try the Snell of Rife balls next.

4.5 handicap and I don't lose many per round. If I do, its only one ball and its ALWAYS on the tee shot.

6 Years ago I would lose one once in a blue moon to hitting it into places i shouldn't be. I think lost 4 balls last two outings and i'm still trying to get my alignment fixed now that i'm playing golf (also two of the four lost balls seem to have been fairway bound but couldn't find it when were there.

Also replace more balls from wedge shots than lost balls

Too many! That's why I play recycled balls, not going to pay top dollar for a ball that I'll most likely donate to the course!

Oh, so, so, so many, many, many balls I have lost. In all serious, I'm an over 20 handicap, and lose 2-3 a round, but I'm pretty tenacious in looking for my balls (yeah baby). For whatever reason, I rarely hit a ball into water; it's always into the woods.

Depends on the course, how I play, etc. 0-5. Today I shot 83 but lost 5 balls.

In a tournament/league setting with plenty of time to look for a ball, I almost never lose a ball. Probably one every 36 holes or so. When I'm with buddies and we have a group right behind us, I feel kind of bad searching for a ball for more than a minute, so I'll drop one near where the ball "disappeared" in the rough/leaves and just play on. Probably lose 2 or 3 per round like that. 7.1 handicap.
