C'mon, LPGA. Publish the scrambling stats. Jerry mentioned that Lydia is 4th in scrambling, and last week Karen mentioned the ranking for one of the players, so clearly the data is available.

I have actually warmed up to Grant Boone (or Grant , as Tom Abbott insists with his British BS ) . That guy takes the time to read up on the players, including their social media. And is usually spot on with his facts. I rather have a "regular" than someone parachuted in like Gannon.

Well judging from live shots on the GC the wind has definitely picked up, you can also tell cause half of those who have tee'd off on the back 9 aren't -4 thru 4 holes lol

The greens are rolling very nicely and true and don't look terribly difficult, that usually helps the scoring a little.

I saw a couple members tweet play it as a 3 shot hole regardless of whether you can reach it or not, but the front hole location today make's it nice not having to go across the green lol

Sigh. So much for tough conditions. Amy and Angel both shot -7 today, and Anna and Sung Hyun are both -7 after 16 holes.

 

Brooke has put herself in a good position to contend in her national championship. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing her win it just so we can stop hearing about how long it has been since a Canadian has won the event.

 

Edit: Sung Hyun birdies her last hole to finish at -8 for the day. 'Impressive. Hmmm, the leaderboard earlier showed that Angel had finished her day with a -7 round, but now it's showing a -5 total for the day. Could the LPGA leaderboard have been incorrect? Impossible. Lol.

Why are they still saying SH Park. It's no harder to say Sung Hyun compared to MinJee, but no one ever says MJ Lee. Two years ago they called her by her right name at the majors. Now they decided on this SH Park.

That`s horrible, those Polar bears are tough customers. I feel terrible for you guys. I`d recommend a larger boat next time.

Well, the ladies tackled the course and conditions today with vigor. You have to tip our cap to them - it's really windy out there and they took what the conditions gave them, and then some.

 

Can we just point out the elephant in the room here, these ladies can flat out play golf. They're hitting fairways and making putts. What more can you ask for?

 

We'll see what the weekend brings. Can't wait!

I agree. You should put this post in the other thread about this season being a failure. I honestly don't know how to respond to it. Failure? There's golfing happening from the best women golfers in the world. I am not complaining.

Working the course as a marshal for the week and seeing some great golf. These ladies can bomb it. Really surprised by how much they interact with people while they're playing. Looking forward to the weekend.

Tough conditions for the afternoon wave. The cut was flirting with -3, but finished at -2.

 

Nice to see the amateur Yealimi Noh make the cut. She's had a fantastic summer. She announced that she'll skip college, and turn pro in one year.
