Very annoyed with Taylormade!!!!!

When a company becomes so big they lose touch with the masses that got them there, they are doomed. Unfortunately, the masses are a bunch of club ho's who buy the latest models every few months, thereby keeping the OEM machine going.

Lol. The guy on the other end of the chat window was the same guy on that AT&T commercial who says "this fish is raw".

Just change the adapter. And as another poster said, you're busting taylormade's chops because they gave you wrong info for a driver that you were not going to buy from them? Correct?

Bust their chops if you were trying to order a new driver from them and they got the adapter wrong. But to be mad at them because you wanted to be cheap is laughable. C'mon kuuuch, you're better than that.

But in good business and good common sense dictates this. The guy may be using one of our older outdated drivers he did not buy from us. But if we maybe help him now he may be a lifelong customer down the road. Good customer service pays in the long run

I agree. But being bent that much over a problem that's less than $20 to fix is...funny

Exactly my point, customer service is the name of the game. I can guarantee my next new driver won't be a TM.

Maybe you do, but I don't make it a habit of wasting time and money needlessly. If it was your computer or your car that you couldn't use in the same situation, I would bet your tune would change. I've have seen people get all bent out of shape over a computer problem (of which I know a LOT about) and I can guarantee I wouldn't respond the way you just did. It's all about training and knowledge. $20 is hardly the total. I bought a head I can't use, yet. I couldn't use my driver the last time I played and won't be able to until it's fixed. Time, gas & money to find someone to install it since I don't have the proper equipment to remove it. But, it's not about the money, it's about chatting AND calling a manufacturer and getting horrible service. THAT is what I'm annoyed about.

We all agree that it sucks you received incorrect information via chat, and it sucks that you made a purchasing decision based on the incorrect info, but I don't understand why you're lumping the customer service phone call into the situation. The person with whom you spoke said they were sorry you received incorrect information and, since they really didn't have any available recourse for the situation, they suggested an alternative you might try. What more could they have honestly done? How was that horrible service on the phone?

They suggested an alternative? Hmm...I must have missed that part of the conversation. They said "Sorry, just sell the one you bought." Did they say that there is a very cheap and easy alternative? NO. Did they say all you have to do is buy X tip, have it installed and will fit your current shaft and the head you bought? NO. I found out all that info AFTER the fact. I have the tip and it's being installed now. No big deal....now.

Should've gone SLDR C, problem solved! Bonded hosel, no confusion on what tip needed, and from a review I read on here more user-friendly.
