> Seriously, you really don't want to equate "better" with "ball speed". I'm sure there's some amateur golfer, somewhere, who can swing a driver faster than Dustin Johnson. That speed does not mean he is "better" than Dustin Johnson in any sense of the word. It's just speed.

>

> If you could take any 5-handicap golfer and somehow let him produce 180mph ball speed, you'd have a 5-handicap golfer with 180mph ball speed. Or maybe he'd gain a stroke or two and be a 3-handicap. But he would not be any closer to being like a Tour player than he was when he was producing 150mph of ball speed. Ball speed is maybe tenth, if that, on the list of the Top Twenty things that separate Dustin Johnson from a typical 5-handicapper.

It is not my intention in anyway to insult you or those giving you advise. Here is my two cents.

NO ONE here can give you the answers you want. Why do I say that? Well, you have been given some **_great_** advise here, but, you dismiss their opinion, then you try justify why you dismiss their opinion.

I have tracked this rather interesting thread and the responses you have received, these parts of your original post keep getting my attention:

" I've seen on Pro tracer, pros hitting their 9i at 118-120 mph and carrying 150m/165y.",,,,,, _**your NOT a pro**_, all the responses you have given to the advise given is,,,,,,, _**NUMBERS**_. Here is a number over 90%,,,,,,, that is the percent of golfers carry a higher handicap than you.

"Well i'm 4.7 handicapper but have lots potential I was told if only I can get better around the green and better wedges shot",,,,,,,, Then why in the world are you worried that you _**"only"**_ carry a 9 iron 145 meters? So if you did carry the ball 150-165 and your game around the green and wedge game suffer, your still going to be a 4.7 handicap.

"The problem is that i have a shallow angle of attack and not delofting = high launch and high spin.",,,,,, The go to a reputable teacher and fix it,,,,,,,,,

My opinion, you have an incredible number infatuation.

By the way, this is the best advise I got when I started playing golf 39 years ago,,,,,,,,,, " Have fun or give up the game",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

1.) Ball data on TV is usually inflated. Most tournaments use pro tracer which is nice to see the ball flight but not as accurate as Trackman for data.

2.) Your launch monitor ES14 is also not the most accurate. It is pretty good on ball speed but tends to inflate swing speed quite a bit.

Stop worrying about a comparison that isn't even based on accurate numbers. If your ball speed, launch angle, and spin was the same as the pros it would carry exactly the same distance.

It does use trackman data, you can see that there is 2 trackman: one behind the tee box on the ground, one behind the tee box and slighly offsetted to the left/right side and above the players.

it does uses the TM data for ball speed, apex, carry and curve unless i'm proved wrong
