From a 1971 Golfdom magazine article, Royal Golf, (Uniroyal) hired a US Navy scientist and used the Notre Dame wind tunnel to design new dimples to increase distance.

I remember finding these when they came out. Yes I am old and have been playing golf since I was around 10.

I started at 13 in 1976, so I remember Royal and Molitor balls in a triangle box and all sorts of stuff, lol

These were a premium product when they were out. As good as any Maxfli or Slazenger Ball.
