Current PING Glide Forged Wedge gamers / Opinions since purchase / Both 2.0 and Glide experience?

Everything in my bag is set and have had no complaints with anything for the past 2 tournament seasons. I seem to be out of the loop though when it comes to my wedges. I have been gaming Vokey wedges and usually just replace them every 2 years in my usual grind and bounce and im good to go, however I have been using a Vokey SM4 52degree since that thing released, and that means since 2011-2012? Its been forever. I have never had a purpose to take it out of my bag but it's finally getting to the point where I just need to replace it. Summer tournaments the past 2 years have been difficult and got in trouble with it on a few occasions, couldn't be as precise or hold the same shots I used to be able to on more firm greens in the events I play in but Its hard to get rid of something you are so familiar with.

I am mainly curious how the wear and tear has been for those playing the PING Glide Forged wedges. Do they wear down quicker compared to other wedges you have owned? I don't think I can get away with playing another wedge for 7+ years but was curious if anyone thinks I can still get 2-4 solid years out of these without some really noticeable performance drop-off. I do play often... I just am not as educated in this department since I don't search often for new clubs. I want to try something new for once and I have always enjoyed and respected PING products. I have never gamed one of their wedges, but have seen many complimentary reviews from initial testing.

Has anyone had experience with both the 2.0 Glides and the Forged? Do you have a preference?

Note: Just weird to me how it took many many years for there to be a big performance drop-off with my 52, yet since the SM6s and onwards I just notice them drop off in performance so quickly with the 56 and 60. I practice with them all enough but equally the 52 during practice that may have made up for the lesser-amount of times I use it in a full round considering its not used as often around the green like my 56 or 60. But yeah, just noticed how my Vokeys wear down so quickly compared to a few of my friends wedges from other brands.

I personally have loved them. They absolutely look and feel the part to me. The one thing about vokey's to me is that because there are so many options I feel like your wedges are more specialized. With the shape of these I really feel confident with each one in a variety of situations. They are players wedges though, with a small profile and not a lot of bounce, but they do have a tungsten weight to help with full strikes. I've really enjoyed them and am glad I chose them

I have the Glide 3.0 WS 60*. I've used it for about 8 rounds and it's my most used wedge around the green and out of bunkers. I also use it full shots at 70 yards. No performance loss...barely any scuffing.

Bought it mainly for the Hydro-pearl finish. Hasn't let me down and works as advertised.

I have a 58° glide 2 that seems to be holding up well, for a 58°. As to wear, is your pitching wedge worn out? I think that the higher the loft the more ball slides on the face with whatever is on the ball. If sandy soil you wear em out faster.

good luck in the games this year, you’ll need it with that old wedge ??‍♂️

I’ve played glides for 3 years now, they are a tank on holding up. The finish is tuff!!! I only play pings because you can send them in to get refit and finished they come back brand new!!! Pings service is A++ nothing comes close. I plan on going glide 3.0 next fall.
