Spike Replacements / Cleats

Whats up guys? On the back end of the new TXG video for spikes, non spikes, and barefoot swings, I did some double checking into replacement spikes for my PwrAdapts from Puma. The stock ones never really had too much grip and are worn down but, they just might not have been right ones for the application. I looked on the website and they all basically say the same thing with either green friendly, types of legs, etc. etc. but they don't really say which terrain / conditions they're most ideal for. I don't quite feel like buying a pack of each model, using them all for 10-15 rounds trying to learn what was best. Maybe a phone call into the company would be ideal too but, isn't that what a forum is for?

I play on firm, hard courses that are pretty sun baked. Rarely on the wet soft grass but occasionally have a round in those locations. Most guys around here play with spikeless shoes and I have my Eccos for that but, more often than not, I'm using Pumas.

Just seeing if you guys have a go-to model for replacement cleats. I was looking at the black widows as they seem to be the "go to" model.

Any input would be appreciated.

I use Pulsars in my Pumas. They work well. Better grip than what they came with.

Very cool. What are your typical conditions and region you play in? I've notice that my old Spieth 2s basically had me glued to the ground but the shoe wasn't my favorite feel. These are just insanely comfortable shoes and a little more slippage and am in need of new spikes as the old ones are a bit beat.

Pretty firm turf around here. Bermuda fairways and rough. No issues with grip. You do have to be a little careful on soft greens. Greens here are also pretty firm as well so I haven't seen any damage.
