Spined shaft installed in a R9 tip

I just recently purchased a spined shaft and I am going to put a R9 TP tip on it. Can someone help with the correct process for install. I do know the setting I am going to use on the tip. Any help would be great. Thanks

My research on this topic basically says that you install the shaft just like any other shaft being installed into a standard bore head. Install the tip into the head in the setting you want and epoxy the shaft with the spine mark pointed at the target line. If you search this forum using keywords such as r9 install or r9 shaft you'll find a lot of good information.

Where ever the spine is marked, that mark should be aligned to the target. About putting a r9 sleeve on, obviously lining up the spine its not going to work if you're the guy who regularly changes the FCT settings regularly. If you are the kind guy of likes tweaking your r9 everytime at the range, it's better to find a shaft that has NO spine and can be installed in any way. Some shafts feel disgustingly wrong when you don't line the spine angle, like the Aldila NVs

Thanks I dont have much experience with spined shafts and need to get this right the first time with the tip install. Very good info.

I don't know of any graphite shafts that have no spine at all. The only shaft I know of that claims to have "no spine" and be perfectly round is the e21 shaft and that is a steel shaft for irons. I'm pretty sure you dont want to put that in an R9.
