Club Fitting - Charlotte NC.

Can anyone recommend a good club fitter in Charlotte, NC?

Haven't found one I really like but Leathermans (closer to town) and victory golf in sc seem competent.

The golf shop in Mooresville is very good. The owner Carl is extremely knowledgeable and is very diligent about the fitting. It is a very small shop but do not let that discourage anyone. Do not need a huge space to treat every customer with complete attention and he does have a lot of good options for a fitting.

I've heard good things about Carl at The Golf Shop but I've never used him. You have John Gamble at Carolina Golf Manufacturing, Ken Husvar at Victory Custom Golf. If you want a set built for you, moi matched, etc you can head to Doc Griffin in Columbia, SC or John Gamble. Ken at Victory has all the goodies when it comes to shafts.

Hasn't the dude from Carmel Country Club done some fitting commercials for Titleist? I forget his name...?

Leatherman's is good. I paid for the fitting and told them upfront that I was going to go through globalgolf.com and just wanted the shaft recommendation. It went fine and the shaft worked out (ahina in a 10.5 r11s head), so I was pleased with that. The guy there is good but he's definitely biased towards harrison shafts. If you're looking for a driver shaft, let me save you the trouble: Harrison Mugen Black is what he'll recommend. Granted, it is a beast of a shaft. I hit it at a Mizuno demo day in a JPX-825 and loved it. The black tie in a cleveland classic xl produced almost identical results. Right now, the R1 with a Kiyoshi White is just as long as all of them but with tighter dispersion.

John Gamble, Carolina Golf Mfg on Central Ave. 704-563-0897. I've known him for over 20 yrs in this industry from numerous seminars and discussions on clubfitting and can testify that he is one of the best and will do a quality job in any fitting situation.
