Edmonton or Alberta Golf Forums?

Has anyone located any Alberta specific golf forums?

 

I know toronto has a good one, ottawa has a good one, but cannot find anything decent in Alberta.

Now's your time to get in on the ground floor and start one. How cool is it on WRX to sign in as Member #1? We'll just ignore that easyyy likely has no life and is permanently hooked into the server tower. Now you need at least one other Albertan so you aren't just posting to your self.

As far as buying and selling I've had fairly good luck on Kijiji in Calgary. Don't think there is any forum

I've tried Kijijji but I have had just about enough of people saying they want a club then not showing.

It's almost not worth it to try and sell the clubs.

Often wondered why myself. We're a province that is golf crazy, and embraces technology yet no golf forum.

As for Kijiji, it's pretty hard to sell the average Kijiji buyer on the extra value of your 712 AP2's with upgraded C-Tapers and 913 D3 with real deal Whiteboard and factory Titleist tip, all with recently changed NDMC grips

There was a thread once upon a time about Edmonton . I have run into a couple of WRX guys around the city but truth be told a golf crazy province of three million total people is still small potatoes. Most of the guys playing golf around here aren't interested in talking golf on a forum but actually playing golf, even if there is still two feet of snow on the ground.

Maybe we will get lucky and the Millwoods range will be open in the next couple of weeks.

Millwoods range is set to open Saturday... They've been spending the last few days clearing the snow.

I have asked for a Canada Forum in the For Sale Area and was told there is not enough demand for it. I can see where they could be right. But a Alberta swap area would be awesome!

I heard some guy talking at the hockey game last night that the Quarry is opening April 18th.... could just be a rumour though. After what happened last year, playing in April would be sweet. I'll take wet and muddy golf over 3 feet of snow anytime.

I was just wondering the same thing myself. So far I've found a couple of sites that seem to have forums: golfingcalgary.com as well as edmontongolf.com.

I posted this too soon and THEN started looking through the forums. It seems they've been taken over by Russian spam-bots. haha. I can't really find any good websites for connecting in Alberta. I like oobgolf, but nobody really uses the forums. Golfpairup.com is an interesting idea, but the website doesn't function as well as it needs to to make it a success.

There is a thread on CalgaryPuck for those who live in Calgary. It's pretty closely followed by a few golf nuts.
