Where to play in North Houston with a client?

I need to take a client out on Wednesday. I need to go to a top notch public course in the North Houston area. I would say that my limit for southernness is Beltway 8 and north. I am in The Woodlands area.

 

I've played just about all the courses in this area, but what are your suggestions? It needs to be in great condition, and this area. I don't care how much it costs. I've played Redstone and was unimpressed. I really like Blackhorse and Woodforest Fish Creek. I've heard good things about Augusta Pines but never played there. I guess we could play one of the Woodlands courses, too.

 

Anybody have any suggestions? Remember I need great conditions.

 

Don't suggest private courses like Lochinvar or Champions or Carlton Woods unless you want to play with us and can get us on. Thanks.

My suggestion would be Fish Creek, always in good shape and fun track. Westfork and Blaketree are awesome layouts too, but conditions are hit and miss.

Fish Creek fairways are still a little thin. They didn't overseed this winter. Still in great shape but will be much nicer next month.

 

Haven't been to Augusta Pines lately but it's generally in great shape.

Last time I played Panther Trails it was in good shape.

 

Tough to go wrong with either Augusta Pines or one of the Woolands Resort courses.

Blaketree National's greens are bare right now. the course is being sold and will probably be shut down for some renovation and cart path additions.

 

I'd avoid it right now.
