Visiting Tulsa

I will be visiting Tulsa around Memorial Day this year. Looking to play some great courses in the area. Any suggestions on which courses are best or ways to play courses that are private. Thanks.

Battle Creek and Forest Ridge are likely the 2 nice muni's with Forest Ridge being a must play in my book. A good deal of nice private tracks but I have no ins for them.

Cherokee Hills would be another one to play if you want a bit of a test. A lot of false fronted or umbrella type greens and tilted fairways. A good deal of the original Perry Maxwell layout remains while some was done away with and re routed to accompany the Casino expansion.

You should play Forest Ridge, which is about $60 and well worth the cost. Cherokee Hills is an old Perry Maxwell design that was renovated and can be a bit gimmicky. It's only $40 or so and that is hard to beat. I don't like Battle Creek, but LaFortune Park is a fun course in the middle of Tulsa.

You can play The Patriot once as a non-member and I think it's now $220. I played there in a tournament on April 7th and it was beautiful.

You are welcome to come play the Golf Club of Oklahoma as my guest. The guest fee is $100.

Forest Ridge is a decent track if its in good shape. Emerald Falls is same. Cherokee Hills is fun but a few holes are gimmicky as stated. The Patriot is a great, scenic track.

I've never played Golf Club Of Oklahoma but I've heard it's great. Steve i would take him up on the offer for $100.
