Man that is awesome! I really like the look of it and that its a LEFTY! I never see protos in lefty models. You can tell how much work you put in to it and it came out very well. That actually looks like it would be fun to design in inventor instead of what we do in school.

If you plead your case and are very specific as to what you want to do, it may get approved. You never know, it's worth a shot.

I think I'd make a great tester. I've always been a better than average putter, especially from distance. I also appreciate the balance of a mallet/face balanced putter, and I'm really intrigued by the zero loft concept, especially on very fast greens. I like simplicity in a design, and yours has that covered for sure. Nice and sleek and clean. It means business.

 

Being local to you I can give you feedback based on the greens that you and I know in the area, so theres a great basis for comparison. Hell, if we play together I can give you instant feedback, LOL!

I started machining the blanks of all 4 testers tonight. Tommorow I should have the blanks done at a bare minimum, and possibly 1st stage CNC done. I'll post a new thread with pics as a "progress report", showing the putters of all 4 testers take shape.

Yes I do! They've all been excellent communicators when it comes to the specs/stampings. Should be a pleasant experience for all involved.

I used a Sherline mini manual mill and lathe and a mini Sherline CNC mill.

 

CNC Mill (P/N 8540);CNC

 

Manual Mill (P/N 5400);manual

 

Lathe (P/N 4400);lathe

 

I also have a bench sander, stamp set, mill/lathe attachments and accesories, end mills, drills, lathe tools and a bunch of measuring tools. All in about $6,500 Canadian for the lot. So about $5,600US.

 

I learned through design theory, trial and error and tester feedback.

Sorry bucketmiz60. There are 4 testers for this model and I'm about halfway through all 4. I had to set the limit somewhere and decided on 4 testers. This will be the last testing session before I hopefully go into business this summer/fall. They are customized for weight, lie, length, alignment markings, stampings, paintfill and grip.

A friend is making the site for me right now. Most of the layout work is done and he will be working on functionality soon. The URL is parked. Aside from that the only things left are waiting for my headcovers to come in and waiting for some glass beads for my blasting booth.

Serge has made the most ridiculously stable putterhead of all time. You could contact the ball anywhere and get essentially the same great roll.

 

My first 9 with the putter, I rolled 18 putts, then dialed it in and rolled 11 putts on the back. 3 for birds!
